This is the place wherein is stored the Carbunckles of Foolishness which is to be known as the ZOGling Whigger & Mamzer Ass-Clown Post of the Day. There is, of course, no end to the foolishness of ZOGling Whigger & Mamzer ass-clowns, but sometimes even they exceed theysselfs.

A lot going on these days for sure and I try to touch on some of them herein.

The Turner Case: I am gratified to see the local BOE taking their time to resolve a very difficult case. We all await the decision to either not renew Randy Turner’s contract to teach in R-8 public schools or allow him to sign a new contract and return to Middle Schools classrooms to teach students how to write. I have stated my own views on that matter. But for sure I await, not only the decision by the local BOE but hopefully, an explanation for public consumption about why they chose to make it that way. Simply reporting the vote, 7-0, 6-1, 5-2 or 4-3, one way or the other, will only fuel more public controversy, for sure.

Government Trust these days: It seems the IRS controversy tops the list of three current scandals in terms of public concerns. I for one put Benghazi there, on the top of the list of three but that is just my own view. A dysfunctional NCA during a national crisis has worse implications than one small group in the IRS acting like rogues. But at the heart of the larger matter, related to all three scandals, is the issue of how to really find out what went wrong and doing something, effectively to mitigate future mistakes of such magnitude. To me it all boils down to lack of accountability within government when things go wrong. I have yet to hear a single person stand and say “I made a mistake” in ANY of the three headline scandals dragging on at the federal level today.

Catching Criminals, legally: Law enforcement did a very good job catching the criminals (at least the “big” ones) that bombed Boston. Good job to all concerned and more power to you as you legally continue to seek those that might have contributed to that bombing. BUT, there is at least one BIG criminal still at large. That criminal revealed highly classified information that could have gotten people killed and for sure will make it much harder to develop good intelligence to prevent future terrorist attacks. Am I the only American today that would like to see that criminal brought to justice, legally, which the DOJ was trying to do before the AP scandal broke upon us all?

Reacting to Disasters: We had brief arguments after the Joplin tornado over cutting spending, federally, elsewhere before rendering federal aid to Joplin to recover and rebuilt. I don’t recall any huge spending cuts by Congress to render such aid to Joplin. That was probably because the magnitude of the aid so provided, federally, was not a budget busting level of financial assistance. OK, two years afterwards, is anyone complaining that we have not received sufficient federal assistance over the last two years. I have heard no major complaints on that count. My guess is the same will happen in Moore, OK over the next two years. But then the Sandy Hurricane bill passed by Congress, some $66 BILLION in aid (to build roads in the Virgin Islands????) MAY well have so much “slush” in it that people should complain, about that disaster relief total amount and how it is being and will be allocated. It, “slush” did not happen in Joplin and probably not in Moore, OK, either.

Public Discussions: I have endured my first encounter with “White Supremacy” advocates since I first began writing publicly, some 5 years ago. It was not pleasant and I struggled with how far to let them go in spouting both despicable ideas, but personal threats to do physical harm as well. Disgusting, to engage in such “discussions”. But then that disgust is countered by allowing speech to be free, like it or not. I could have censored such written words or not allow the words to “go public”. I choose not to do so and was surprised to see NO ONE (other than Geoff and me) call them on such heinous ideas, not a single word “back at them”, publicly stated. Thrash needs to be exposed for what it is, pure trash, publicly. Is that not the really big issue in the Turner Case, reading what almost any sane person would deem trash and taking appropriate measures to SAY what it is, pure trash. I refer to the book, NCLA, in case you are wondering.

The Trayvon Martin Case: The EC blog had a great back and forth discussion on this case, between Herb and Duane. Such discussion was great free speech for sure with both sides holding their own, in my view. But I do inject one point into that discussion. Had both Martin and Zimmerman been “both white”, or “both black” men would anyone in America outside of families and friends in Florida be discussing this case in Joplin, MO or elsewhere, today? Now tell me it is not a racial matter with all the virulence possible when such legal matters “go racial”?
