    The Gospel of John
    Chapters 1 through 11
    From The Christogenea New Testament
    ? 2009 William R. Finck Jr.

I 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was Yahweh. 2 He was in the beginning with Yahweh. 3 All things were through Him, and without Him was not even one thing. That which was done 4 in Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness; yet the darkness comprehends it not.

6 There was a man, having been sent by Yahweh, whose name was Iohannes. 7 He came for a witness, in order that he would testify concerning the light, that they all would believe through him. 8 Not that he was the light, but that he would testify concerning the light.

9 The light was the truth, which coming into the Society enlightens every man. 10 He was in the Society, and the Society came to be through Him, yet the Society knew Him not. 11 He came into His own land, and the men of the country received Him not. 12 But as many who received Him, He gave to them the authority which the children of Yahweh are to attain, to those believing in His Name: 13 not those from of mixed origin nor from of desire of the flesh nor from of the will of man, but they who have been born from Yahweh.

14 And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us, and we beheld His splendor, splendor as the most-beloved by the Father, full of favor and truth. 15 Iohannes testifies concerning Him, and cried out, saying “This was He whom I said: ‘He coming after me, He is preferred over me, because He was before me’.” 16 Because we have all received from of His fullness, and favor for the sake of favor. 17 For the law had been given through Moses; the favor and the truth have come through Yahshua Christ. 18 No one ever yet having seen Yahweh, the only-born God, He being in the bosom of the Father, He has explained.

19 And this is the testimony of Iohannes, when the Judaeans from Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to him, that they could ask him “What are you?” 20 And he admitted, and denied not, and he admitted that “I am not the Christ.” 21 And they asked him “Then what? Are you Elijah?” And he said “I am not.” “Are you a prophet?” and he answered “No.” 22 Then they said to him “Who are you, that we could give an answer to those who sent us, what do you say concerning yourself?” 23 He said: “I am a voice crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Prince!” Just as Isaiah the prophet had spoken. 24 And those who were sent were from of the Pharisees, 25 and they asked him, and said to him “Then why do you immerse if you are not the Christ nor Elijah nor a prophet?” 26 Iohannes replied to them saying “I immerse in water. In your midst stands He whom you do not know, 27 He coming after me, of whom I am not worthy that I loosen the strap of His sandal!” 28 These things happened in Bethania, across the Jordan, where Iohannes was immersing.

29 The next day he sees Yahshua coming to him and he says: “Look! The Lamb of Yahweh, He removing the error of Society. 30 This is He concerning whom I said: ‘A man comes after me who is preferred over me, because He was before me.’ 31 And I did not know Him, but in order that He would be made manifest to Israel, for this reason I came immersing in water.” 32 And Iohannes testified, saying that: “I observed the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven and it abode upon Him. 33 And I did not know Him, but He who has sent me to immerse in water, He said to me: ‘Upon whom you should see the Spirit descending and abiding upon Him, it is He who immerses in the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and have testified that He is the Son of Yahweh!”

29 The next day Iohannes again stood, and two from among the students, 36 and looking at Yahshua walking about he says: “Look, the Lamb of Yahweh!” 37 And his two students heard the saying and followed Yahshua. 38 Then Yahshua turning and looking at them following says to them “What do you seek?” And they said to Him “Rabbi,” (which is spoken, being translated, “Teacher”), “where do You abide?” 39 He says to them “you come and see.” Therefore they came and saw where He stays and they remained with Him that day. It was about the tenth hour. 40 Andreas the brother of Simon Petros was one of the two of those hearing Iohannes and following Him. 41 He finds his own older brother Simon and says to him “We have found the Messiah!” (which is translated “Christ”.) 42 He led him to Yahshua. Looking at him Yahshua said: “You are Simon the son of Iohannes. You shall be called Kephas” (which is interpreted “a stone”).

43 The next day He desired to depart for Galilaia and He finds Philippos. And Yahshua says to him “Follow Me.” 44 And Philippos was from Bethsaida, from the city of Andreas and Petros. 45 Philippos finds Nathanael and says to him: “He whom Moses and the prophets had written about in the law we have found: Yahshua the son of Ioseph from Nazaret.” 46 And Nathanael said to him: “Can anything good be from Nazaret?” Philippos says to him: “Come and see!” 47 Yahshua saw Nathanael coming towards Him and He says about him: “Look! An Israelite indeed, in whom there is no guile!” 48 Nathanael says to Him: “From where do You know me?” Yahshua replied and said to him: “Before Philippos called you, being under the fig tree I saw you.” 49 Nathanael replied to Him: “Rabbi! You are the Son of Yahweh! You are King of Israel!” 50 Yahshua replied and said to him: “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, you believe? Greater than these things you shall see.” 51 And He says to him: “Truly, truly I say to you: You shall see the heaven having been opened and the messengers of Yahweh ascending and descending before the Son of Man.”

II 1 Then on the third day there was a marriage-feast in Kana of Galilaia, and the mother of Yahshua was there. 2 And Yahshua and His students had also been invited to the marriage-feast. 3 And being short of wine the mother of Yahshua says to Him “They do not have wine!” 4 And Yahshua says to her: “What is there with Me and with you, woman? My hour has not yet come!” 5 His mother says to the servants “Whatever He should say to you, you do.” 6 And there were six stone urns sitting there, in accordance with the purification of the Judaeans, each having space for two or three amphorae. 7 Yahshua says to them: “fill the urns with water.” And they filled them to the top. 8 Then He says to them: “Now draw and bring it to the table-master.” And they brought it. 9 And as the table-master tasted the water it became wine, and he knew not from where it is (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the table-master calls the bridegroom 10 and says to him: “All men set out the good wine first, and the inferior when they are drunk. You have kept the good wine until now!”

11 This was the first of the signs which Yahshua had done in Kana of Galilaia, and He made manifest His honor, and His students believed in Him.

12 After this He went down into Kapharnaoum, and His mother and brethren and His students, and they abode there for not many days. 13 And it was near the Passover of the Judaeans, and Yahshua went up to Jerusalem.

14 And He found seated in the temple those selling cattle and sheep and doves and the bankers, 15 and having made a whip of ropes He cast them all out of the temple, and the sheep and the cattle, and He spilled out the coins of the bankers and overturned the tables, 16 and to those selling doves He said: “Take these things from here! Do not make the house of My Father a house of merchandise!” 17 His students remembered that it is written: “The zeal for Your house consumes Me!”

18 Therefore the Judaeans responded and said to Him: “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?” 19 Yahshua replied and said to them: “You destroy this temple and in three days I shall raise it!” 20 Therefore the Judaeans said: “Forty-six years to build this temple, and You shall raise it in three days?” 21 (But He had spoken concerning the temple of His body. 22 Therefore when He had risen from the dead, His students remembered that He had said this, and they believed in the writing and in the word which Yahshua spoke.)

23 And as He was among those in Jerusalem on the Passover at the feast, many believed in His name, observing the signs which He had done. 24 But Yahshua Himself did not entrust Himself to them on account that He knowing everyone, 25 also therefore had no need that anyone testify concerning a man. Indeed He knew what was in a man.

III 1 Now there was a man from among the Pharisees, Nikodemos was his name, a leader of the Judaeans. 2 He came to Him at night and said to Him: “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from Yahweh, for no one is able to make these signs which You make, unless it could be that Yahweh is with him.” 3 Yahshua replied and said to him: “Truly, truly I say to you, unless a man should be born from above, he is not able to see the Kingdom of Yahweh.” 4 Nikodemos says to Him: “How is a man able to be born, being old? Is he able to enter into the womb of his mother a second time and to be born?” 5 Yahshua replied: “Truly, truly I say to you, if one should not be born from water and Spirit, he is not able to enter into the Kingdom of Yahweh! 6 That which is born from of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born from of the Spirit is Spirit. 7 You should not wonder that I said to you that it is necessary for you to be born from above. 8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know from where it comes and where it goes. Thusly are all who are born from of the Spirit.” 9 Nikodemos responded and said to Him: “How can these things be?” 10 Yahshua responded and said to him: “You are a teacher of Israel, and you do not know these things? 11 Truly, truly I say to you, that which we know we speak and that which we have seen we attest to, and you do not receive our testimony! 12 If I speak to you about earthly things and you do not believe, how shall you believe if I would speak to you about heavenly things? 13 Now no one ascends into the heaven except he who has descended from heaven: the Son of Man. 14 And just as Moses had raised the serpent in the desert, thusly it is necessary that the Son of Man be raised, 15 that each who believes in Him would have eternal life. 16 For Yahweh so loved the Society, that He gave the most-beloved Son, in order that each who believes in Him would not be lost but would have eternal life. 17 Indeed, Yahweh has not sent the Son into the Society in order that He would condemn the Society, but in order that the Society would be saved through Him. 18 He believing in Him is not condemned, but he not believing is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the most-beloved Son of Yahweh. 19 Now this is the condemnation: that the light has come into the Society yet men loved the darkness more than the light, since their deeds were evil. 20 For anyone who is practicing bad things hates the light and does not come to the light, that his deeds would not be censured. 21 But he doing the truth comes to the light, in order that his deeds would be made manifest because it is with Yahweh that they have been accomplished.”

22 After these things Yahshua and His students went into the Judaean land and He spent time there with them and He immersed. 23 And Iohannes was immersing in Ainon near Saleim, seeing that many waters were there, and they came by and were immersed 24 (for not yet was Iohannes cast into the prison).

25 Then there came a dispute among some of the students of Iohannes with the Judaeans concerning purification. 26 And they came to Iohannes and said to him: “Rabbi, He who was with you across the Jordan, for whom you testified, look: He immerses and they all come to Him!” 27 Iohannes replied and said: “A man is not able to receive anything if it has not been given to him from heaven. 28 You yourselves bear testimony for me that I said that I am not the Christ, but that I am being sent before Him! 29 He having the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom who stands and hears him rejoices in joy because of the voice of the bridegroom! Therefore this, my joy, is fulfilled. 30 It is necessary for Him to be augmented, and for me to be diminished.

31 He coming from above is above all. He being from the earth is of the earth and speaks from of the earth. He coming from heaven is above all. 32 That which He has seen and heard, this He attests, and no one receives His testimony. 33 He receiving His testimony has assured that Yahweh is true! 34 For He whom Yahweh has sent speaks the words of Yahweh, indeed He does not give the Spirit by measure. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. 36 He believing in the Son has eternal life. But he disobeying the Son does not see life. Rather the wrath of Yahweh waits for him!

IV 1 Therefore as Yahshua had become aware that the Pharisees heard that “Yahshua makes and immerses more students than Iohannes” 2 (even though Yahshua Himself has not immersed, but His students), 3 He left Judaea, and departed again for Galilaia.

4 And it was necessary for Him to pass through Samareia. 5 So He comes to a city of Samareia called Suchar, near the land which Jakob had given to his son Ioseph. 6 And there was a well of Jakob’s there. Then Yahshua being tired from the journey sat thusly by the well. It was about the sixth hour. 7 A woman of Samareia comes to draw water. Yahshua says to her: “Give Me to drink.” 8 (For His students had gone off to the city that they may buy food.) 9 Then the Samaritan woman says to Him: “You being a Judaean, how do You request from me, being a Samaritan woman, to drink? For the Judaeans have no dealings with the Samaritans!” 10 Yahshua replied and said to her: “If you knew the gift of Yahweh and who it is saying to you ‘Give Me to drink’, you would have asked Him and He would have given to you living water.” 11 The woman says to Him: “Master, You do not even have a bucket and the well is deep, so from where do You have living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jakob, who gave us the well and had drank from it himself, with his sons and his cattle?” 13 Yahshua responded and said to her: “Each who is drinking from this water shall thirst again. 14 But he who should drink from the water which I shall give to him shall not thirst for eternity, but the water which I shall give to him will become in him a well of water springing up into eternal life.” 15 The woman says to Him “Master, give this water to me, that I shall not thirst nor pass by here to draw!” 16 He says to her “Go, call your husband, and come here!” 17 The woman replied and said to Him: “I do not have a husband.” Yahshua says to her “You have spoken well that ‘I do not have a husband’, 18 for you have had five husbands and now he whom you have is not your husband! By this you spoke the truth!” 19 The woman says to Him: “Master, I see that You are a prophet! 20 Our fathers have worshipped on this mountain, yet do You say that in Jerusalem is the place where it is necessary to worship?” 21 Yahshua says to her: “Believe Me, woman, that the hour comes when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem shall you worship the Father! 22 You worship that which you do not know. We worship that which we know, because salvation is from among the Judaeans. 23 But the hour comes and is now, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father also seeks such as those worshipping Him. 24 Yahweh is a Spirit, and for those worshipping Him it is necessary to worship in spirit and in truth.” 25 The woman says to Him: “I know that Messiah comes, who is called Christ. When He should come, He shall announce to us all things.” 26 Yahshua says to her: “I am He, who is speaking to you.”

27 And with this His students had come, and they wondered that He had spoken with a woman, yet no one said “What do You seek?” or “Why do You speak with her?” 28 Then the woman left her water and went off to the city and says to the men: “Come, see a man who has told me all things whatever I had done! Could it be that He is the Christ?” 30 So they came out of the city and came to Him.

31 In the meantime His students asked Him saying: “Rabbi, eat!” 32 But He said to them: “I have food to eat which you do not know.” 33 Then the students said to one another “Has anyone brought for Him to eat?” 34 Yahshua says to them: “My food is that I shall do the will of He who has sent Me and that I shall finish His work. 35 Do you not say that ‘There are still four months and the harvest comes’? Behold, I say to you: lift up your eyes and see the fields, that they are already white for harvest! 36 He reaping receives a wage, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that he sowing and he reaping would rejoice together. 37 For in this the word is true: that it is one who sows and another who reaps. 38 I have sent you to reap for that which you did not labor. Others labored and you entered in for their labor.

39 And from that city many of the Samaritans had believed in Him through the word of testimony of the woman that “He told me all the things which I had done!” 40 Therefore as the Samaritans came to Him, having asked Him to stay with them, then He stayed there for two days. 41 And with many more they believed through His word, 42 and they had said to the woman that “No longer do we believe because of your speech, for we ourselves have heard and we know that He is truly the Savior of the Society!”

43 And after two days He had departed from there for Galilaia. 44 For Yahshua Himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own fatherland. 45 Therefore when He came into Galilaia, the Galilaians all welcomed Him, who had seen how many things He had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also had come to the feast.

46 Then He went again to Kana of Galilaia, where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain officer of the king whose son in Kapharnaoum was sick. 47 He hearing that Yahshua had come from Judaea into Galilaia had gone after Him and requested that He would come down and heal his son, for he was about to die. 48 Therefore Yahshua said to him: “Unless you could see signs and wonders, you shall not believe!” 49 The officer of the king says to Him: “Master, You must come down, before my child dies!” 50 Yahshua says to him: “You go, your son lives!” The man trusted in the word which Yahshua spoke to him and he went. 51 And already going down his servants met with him saying that his child lives. 52 Therefore he inquired about the hour from them, in which he had gotten better. So they said to him that “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever had left him”. 53 Then the father knew, because it was at that hour in which Yahshua said to him “Your son lives!” And he himself believed, and his whole household. 54 Now this again is the second sign Yahshua made having come from Judaea into Galilaia. V 1 After these things there was a feast of the Judaeans, and Yahshua went up to Jerusalem.

2 And there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep’s Gate a pool called by name in Hebrew “Bethzatha”, having five porches. 3 Upon these laid a multitude of the sick, blind, lame, gaunt. 5 And there was a certain man there having his sickness for thirty-eight years. 6 Yahshua seeing him laying down and having known that he has much time there already, says to him: “Do you wish to be made healthy?” 7 The sick man replied to Him: “Master, I have no man, that when the water is agitated he would cast me into the pool. But by the time I come, another descends before me!” 8 Yahshua says to him “Arise, take your cot, and walk!” 9 And immediately the man became healthy and took his cot and walked.

And it was a Sabbath on that day, 10 therefore the Judaeans said to the healed man: “It is a Sabbath, and it is not allowed for you to carry your cot.” 11 And he replied to them: “He who made me healthy said to me ‘Take your cot and walk!’” 12 They asked him: “Who is the man having said to you ‘Take it and walk’?” 13 But the cured man did not know who He is, for Yahshua swam out of the crowd which is in that place. 14 After these things Yahshua finds him in the temple and said to him: “Look, you have become healthy! Sin no longer, lest something worse should happen to you.” 15 The man departed and reported to the Judaeans that Yahshua is He having made him healthy. 16 And for this reason the Judaeans pursued Yahshua, because He did these things on the Sabbath.

17 Then Yahshua replied to them: “My Father labors until now, and I labor!” 18 Then for this reason still more the Judaeans sought to kill Him, because not only did He break the Sabbath, but also said that Yahweh is His own Father, making Himself equal with Yahweh.

19 Therefore Yahshua replied and said to them: “Truly, truly I say to you, the Son is not able to do anything by Himself except what He sees the Father doing. For the things which He would do, these things also the Son does likewise. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things which He Himself does. And He shall show Him greater works than these, that you may be astonished! 21 For just as the Father raises and makes the dead to live, thusly also the Son makes live whom He wishes. 22 For neither does the Father judge anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, 23 in order that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He not honoring the Son would not honor the Father who has sent Him.

“24 Truly, truly I say to you that he hearing My Word and believing in He who has sent Me has eternal life and does not come to judgment, but has passed from death into life! 25 Truly, truly I say to you that the hour comes and is now, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of Yahweh and those hearing shall live! 26 For just as the Father has life in Himself, thusly also He has given the Son to have life in Himself. 27 And He has given authority to Him to make judgment, because He is the Son of Man. 28 Do not be astonished at this, because the hour comes in which all those in the tombs shall hear His voice, 29 and they shall go forth: those having done good things to a resurrection of life, but those having practiced wicked things to a resurrection of judgment.

“30 I am not able to do anything by Myself. Just as I hear, I judge, and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of He who has sent Me. 31 If I should give testimony concerning Myself, My testimony is not true. 32 It is another who is testifying concerning Me, and I know that the testimony is true which he testifies concerning Me. 33 You sent to Iohannes, and he testified to the truth. 34 Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I speak these things in order that you may be preserved. 35 He was a lamp burning and shining, and you had desired for awhile to rejoice in his light.

“36 But I have testimony greater than Iohannes, for the works which the Father gave to Me in order that I shall complete them, those same works which I should do testify concerning Me, that the Father sent Me! 37 And the Father who has sent Me, He testified concerning Me! And you have not ever yet heard His voice, nor have you seen His form, 38 and you do not have His Word abiding in you, because He whom He has sent, in Him you do not believe! 39 You must examine the writings, because you suppose by them to have eternal life, and these are they which testify concerning Me. 40 Yet you do not wish to come to Me in order that you would have life.

“41 I would not receive an opinion from men, 42 but I know you, that you do not have the love of Yahweh in yourselves. 43 I have come in the Name of My Father, and you do not receive Me. If perhaps another would come in his own name, him you would receive. 44 How are you able to believe an opinion being received from each other, and the opinion from the One and Only you do not seek?

“45 Do not suppose that I shall accuse you before the Father. There is one who is accusing you: Moses, in whom you have hope. 46 For if you had believed in Moses, you would have believed in Me, for he had written concerning Me. 47 But if in his writings you do not believe, how shall you believe My words?”

VI 1 After these things Yahshua departed across the sea of Galilaia from Tiberias, 2 and a great crowd followed Him, because they had observed the signs which he made for those who were sick. 3 Then Yahshua went up into the mountain and sat there with His students. 4 Now it was near the Passover, the feast of the Judaeans.

5 Then Yahshua raising His eyes and observing that a great crowd comes to Him, says to Philippos: “From where could we buy bread, that they may eat?” 6 But He said this trying him, for He knew what He was going to do. 7 Philippos replied to Him: “Two hundred denarions’ worth of loaves are not sufficient for them, that each would receive a little!” 8 One of His students, Andreas the brother of Simon Petros, says to Him: “9 There is a young boy here who has five barley loaves and two fishes, but what are these for so many?” 10 Yahshua said “Cause the men to recline.” Now there was much grass at the place. Then the men reclined, the number being about five thousand. 11 Then Yahshua took the loaves and giving thanks distributed equally to those reclining, and as much as they desired of the fishes. 12 Then as they were satiated, He says to His students: “Gather the excess fragments, that not anything is lost.” 13 So they gathered and had filled twelve baskets of fragments from the five barley loaves which had been left over by those who had eaten. 14 Then the men, seeing the sign which He had made, said that “this is truly the Prophet who is coming into the Society!” 15 Then Yahshua, knowing that they were going to come and to seize Him in order that they would make Him king, He alone withdrew back into the mountain.

16 Now as it was late, His students went down to the sea 17 and boarding into a vessel they went across the sea to Kapharnaoum. And already it had become dark, and Yahshua had not yet come to them, 18 and the sea was stirred up, a great wind blowing. 19 Then having sailed about twenty-five or thirty stadia, they observe Yahshua walking upon the sea and coming near the vessel, and they feared. 20 Then He says to them: “I am. Do not be afraid.” 21 Then they wanted to take Him into the vessel, and immediately the vessel came upon the land to which they were going.

22 On the next day the crowd which stood across the sea had seen that there was not another boat there except one, and that Yahshua had not entered together with His students into the vessel, but only His students had departed. 23 But vessels came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate the bread giving thanks to Yahweh. 24 Therefore when the crowd had seen that Yahshua is not there, nor His students, they themselves boarded into the boats and came to Kapharnaoum seeking Yahshua. 25 And finding Him across the sea they said to Him “Rabbi, when did You arrive here?”

26 Yahshua replied to them and said: “Truly, truly I say to you, you seek Me not because you have seen signs, but because you have eaten of the loaves and have been satiated! 27 You must work not for that food which perishes but for that food which abides for eternal life, which the Son of Man shall give to you. Indeed Yahweh the Father has confirmed Him!” 28 Then they said to Him “What should we do that we may accomplish the works of Yahweh?” 29 Yahshua replied and said to them: “This is the work of Yahweh: that you would believe in Him whom He sent!”

30 Then they said to Him: “Then what sign do You do, in order that we would see and we may believe in You? What could You accomplish? 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert, just as it is written: ‘bread from heaven He had given them to eat.’” 32 Then Yahshua said to them: “Truly, truly I say to you, Moses did not give to you bread from heaven, but My Father gives to you the true bread from heaven! 33 For the bread of Yahweh is He descending from heaven and giving life to the Society!” 34 Then they said to Him: “Prince, always give to us this bread!” 35 Yahshua said to them: “I am the bread of life! He coming to Me shall not hunger, and he believing in Me shall not ever thirst!

“36 But I have said to you that even you have seen Me and you do not believe. 37 Each whom the Father gives to Me shall come to Me, and he coming to Me I shall not cast outside, 38 because I have descended from heaven not in order that I would do that of My will, but the will of He who has sent Me. 39 This is the will of He who has sent Me: That each of them who are given to Me I shall not destroy, but I shall resurrect them in the last day. 40 For this is the will of My Father: that each who seeing the Son and believing in Him would have eternal life, and I shall resurrect him in the last day.

41 Then the Judaeans muttered concerning Him because He said “I am the bread which descends from heaven”, 42 and they said “Is this not Yahshua the son of Ioseph, whose father and mother we know? How now does He say that “I have descended from heaven’?” 43 Yahshua replied and said to them: “Do not mutter among one another. 44 No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who has sent Me should compel him, and I shall resurrect him in the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, ‘And they all shall be taught by Yahweh.” All who hearing from Yahweh and learning come to Me. 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who being from Yahweh, he has seen the Father. 47 Truly, truly I say to you, he believing in Me has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life! 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the desert and they died. 50 This is the bread which is descending from heaven, that one may eat from it and would not die. 51 I am the living bread which has descended from heaven. If one would eat from this bread, he shall live for eternity. But also the bread which I shall give is My flesh in behalf of the life of the Society!”

52 Then the Judaeans disputed with one another saying “How is He able to give to us His flesh to eat?” 53 Therefore Yahshua said to them: “Truly, truly I say to you, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have not life in yourselves! 54 He eating My flesh and drinking My blood has eternal life, and I shall resurrect him in the last day! 55 For My flesh is the true food, and My blood is the true drink. 56 He eating My flesh and drinking My blood abides in Me and I in him. 57 Just as the living Father has sent Me and I live through the Father, he who is eating Me, he also shall live through Me. 58 This is the bread which has descended from heaven, not as the fathers ate and they died. He eating this bread shall live for eternity!”

59 He spoke these things teaching in the assembly hall in Kapharnaoum. 60 Then many of His students listening said “This is a hard saying. Who is able to understand it?” 61 And Yahshua, within Himself knowing that His students muttered concerning this, said to them: “This offends you? 62 Then if you should observe the Son of Man ascending where He was before? 63 It is the Spirit which produces life, the flesh does not benefit anything. The words which I have spoken to you are Spirit and are life. 64 But some from among you are they who do not believe.” (For Yahshua knew from the beginning who they who do not believe are, and who it is who shall betray Him.) 65 And He said: “For this reason I said to you that no one is able to come to Me unless it should be given to him from the Father.”

66 With this many from among His students departed for the former things and no longer walked with Him. 67 Therefore Yahshua said to the twelve: “Do you not also wish to go away?” 68 Simon Petros replied to Him: “Prince, to what shall we depart? You have the words of life, 69 and we believe and know that You are the Holy One of Yahweh!” 70 Yahshua replied to them: “Have I not chosen you twelve? Yet one from among you is a false accuser!” 71 (Now He spoke about Ioudas the son of Simon Iskarioth, for he was going to betray Him, being one of the twelve.)

VII 1 And after these things Yahshua walked about in Galilaia. For He did not desire to walk in Judaea, because the Judaeans sought to kill Him.

2 Now it was near the Tabernacles feast of the Judaeans. 3 Therefore His brothers said to Him: “You must cross over from here and go into Judaea in order that Your students also shall see Your works which You do. 4 For no one does anything in secret yet seeks it to be before the public. If you do these things, make Yourself known to the Society!” 5 (For not even His brothers believed in Him.) 6 Then Yahshua says to them: “My time is not yet here, but your time is always at hand. 7 The Society is not able to hate you, but it hates Me, because I testify concerning it, that its works are evil! 8 You go up to the feast. Not yet do I go up to this feast, because My time is not yet fulfilled.” 9 Then having said these things He Himself remained in Galilaia.

10 But as His brothers went up to the feast, then He also went up, not openly but as if in secret. 11 Then the Judaeans sought Him at the feast and said “Where is He?” 12 And there was much murmuring concerning Him among the crowds. Some indeed said that He is good, but others said “No! Rather He would deceive the people!” 13 Of course no one had spoke publicly concerning Him due to fear of the Judaeans.

14 And it already being in the middle of the feast Yahshua went up into the temple and taught. 15 Then the Judaeans wondered saying “How does He know literature, not being instructed?” 16 Then Yahshua replied to them and said “My teaching is not Mine, but of He who sent Me! 17 If one wishes to do His will, he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is from Yahweh or I speak by Myself. 18 He speaking by himself seeks his own honor, but he seeking the honor of He who has sent him, he is true and there is no injustice in him.

“19 Has Moses not given you the law? And not one from among you keeps the law! Why do you seek to kill Me?” 20 The crowd responded “You have a demon! Who seeks to kill You?” 21 Yahshua replied and said to them “I have done one deed and you all marvel. 22 For this reason Moses gave you the circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers) and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath in order that the law of Moses would not be broken, are you angry with Me that I have made a man entirely healthy on the Sabbath? 24 Do not judge by sight, but judge a righteous judgment.”

25 Then some of those from Jerusalem said: “Is this not He whom they seek to kill? 26 And look, He speaks freely and they say nothing to Him! Perhaps the rulers really know that this is the Christ! 27 But we know where this man is from, yet when the Christ should come, no one knows where He is from.” 28 Then Yahshua cried out teaching in the temple and saying: “You not only know Me, you also know where I am from! And I have not spoken by Myself, but He who has sent Me is truthful, whom you do not know! 29 I know Him, because I am from Him and He has sent Me!” 30 Then they sought to seize Him, yet no one laid a hand upon Him, because His hour had not yet come.

31 Then many from the crowd believed in Him and they said “When the Christ comes shall He do greater signs than those which this man has done?” 32 The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning Him, and the high priests and the Pharisees sent deputies that they may seize Him. 33 Then Yahshua said: “I am with you for a short time yet, then I go to He who has sent Me. 34 You shall seek Me, and shall not find Me, and where I am you are not able to come.” 35 Therefore the Judaeans said to themselves “Where is He about to go that we shall not find Him? Is He about to go to the dispersion of the Greeks and teach the Greeks? 36 What is this word which He said, ‘You shall seek Me, and shall not find Me, and where I am you are not able to come’?”

37 Then on the great last day of the feast Yahshua stood and cried out saying “If one thirsts he must come to Me and drink! 38 He believing in Me, just as the writing says, rivers of living water shall flow from his belly!” 39 (Now this He spoke concerning the spirit which those believing in Him were going to receive. For not yet was the spirit, because Yahshua had not as yet been magnified.)

40 Then those from the crowd understanding these words said “He is truly a prophet!” 41 Others said “He is the Christ!” But some said “Really, does the Christ come from Galilaia? 42 Did the writing not say that the Christ comes from the offspring of David and from Bethlehem where David was?” 43 Therefore there was a division among the crowd because of Him. 44 Then some from among them desired to seize Him, but no one laid the hands upon Him.

45 Then the deputies went to the high priests and the Pharisees, and they said to them “For what reason have you not brought Him?” 46 The deputies replied: “Not ever has a man spoken in this way!” 47 Therefore the Pharisees replied to them: “Are you also deceived? 48 Has anyone from among the rulers or from among the Pharisees believed in Him? 49 But this crowd, not knowing the law, they are accursed!” 50 Nikodemos says to them (he having come to Him earlier, being one of them): 51 “Does our law judge a man unless it first hears from him and would know what he does?” 52 They replied and said to him: “Are you also from Galilaia? Enquire, and see that a prophet has not arisen out of Galilaia!”

VIII 12 Then again Yahshua spoke to them saying “I am the light of the Society. He following Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life!” 13 Then the Pharisees said to Him: “You testify concerning Yourself! Your testimony is not true!” 14 Yahshua replied and said to them: “Even if I testify concerning Myself, My testimony is true, because I know from where I have come and where I go. But you do not know from where I come or where I go. 15 You judge in accordance with the flesh. I judge no one. 16 But then even if I judge, My judgment is truth, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent Me! 17 Now it is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am He testifying concerning Myself and the Father who sent Me testifies concerning Me!” 19 Therefore they said to Him: “Where is Your Father?” Yahshua replied: “You know neither Me nor My Father! If you had known Me, you also would have known My Father!” 20 He had spoken these words by the treasury, teaching in the temple. Yet no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come.

21 Then He spoke to them again: “I go and you shall seek Me, and you shall die in your error! Where I go you are not able to come.” 22 Therefore the Judaeans said “Perhaps He shall kill Himself, that He says ‘Where I go you are not able to come’?” 23 And He said to them: “You are from of those below; I am from of those above. You are from of this Society; I am not from of this Society. 24 Now I said to you that you shall die in your errors. For if you do not believe that I am, you shall die in your errors!” 25 Then they said to Him: “Who are You?” Yahshua said to them: “What is it which I also say to you from the beginning? 26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who has sent Me is true, and the things which I hear from Him, these things I say to the Society.” 27 (They did not perceive that He spoke to them by the Father.) 28 Then Yahshua said that “When you raise up the Son of Man, then you shall know that I am, and I do nothing by Myself, but just as the Father has taught Me, these things I say. 29 And He who has sent Me is with Me, He has not left Me alone, because I always do the things which please Him!”

30 Upon His saying these things many believed in Him. 31 Therefore Yahshua said to those Judaeans who believed Him: “If you abide in My Word, truly you are My students, 32 and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” 33 They replied to Him: “We are offspring of Abraham, and to no one have we been in bondage ever yet! How do you say that we shall be made free?” 34 Yahshua replied to them “Truly, truly I say to you that he causing wrongdoing is a servant of wrongdoing. 35 Now a servant does not abide in the house forever. A son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son shall set you free, you shall certainly be free!

“37 I know that you are offspring of Abraham, but you seek to kill Me because My Word has no place in you. 38 The things which I have seen from the Father I speak; so also you, the things which you have heard from your father you do.” 39 They replied and said to Him: “Our father is Abraham!” Yahshua says to them: “If you are children of Abraham, you would have done the works of Abraham! 40 But now you seek to kill Me, a man whom has spoken to you the truth which I have heard from Yahweh. This Abraham has not done. 41 You do the works of your father!” Then they said to Him: “We were not born of fornication! We have one father, Yahweh!” 42 Yahshua said to them: “If Yahweh was your father you would have loved Me, for I have come from of Yahweh and am here. I have not come by Myself, but He has sent Me. 43 For what reason do you not perceive My speech? Because you are not able to hear My Word! 44 You are the sons of a father: the False Accuser! And you wish to do the desires of your father! He was a murderer from the beginning and did not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him! When he speaks a lie, he speaks from of his own devices, because he is a liar and the father of it! 45 Now because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Who from among you censures Me concerning wrongdoing? If I speak truth, for what reason do you not believe Me? 47 He who is from of Yahweh hears the words of Yahweh. For this reason you do not hear, because you are not from of Yahweh!”

48 The Judaeans replied and said to Him: “Do we not speak well, that You are a Samaritan and You have a demon?” 49 Yahshua replied: “I do not have a demon! Rather I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. 50 Now I do not seek credit for Me; it is He seeking and judging. 51 Truly, truly I say to you, if one would keep My Word, he would not see death for eternity!” 52 Then the Judaeans said to Him: “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham died, and the prophets, yet You say ‘If one would keep My Word, he shall not taste of death for eternity’? 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! What do You make of Yourself?” 54 Yahshua replied: “If I would honor Myself, My honor is nothing! It is the Father who is honoring Me, whom you say that ‘He is our God’. 55 Yet you do not know Him, but I know Him. And if I should say that I do not know Him, I shall be a liar like you! But I know Him and I keep His Word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see My day, and he has seen and is delighted.” 57 Then the Judaeans said to Him: “You do not yet have fifty years, and You have seen Abraham?” 58 Yahshua said to them: “Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I am!” 59 Then they took up stones in order that they would cast them at Him, but He hid and departed from the temple.

IX 1 And passing by He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His students asked Him, saying “Rabbi, who has done wrong, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?” 3 Yahshua replied: “Neither has this man done wrong nor his parents, but so that the works of Yahweh would be manifest by him. 4 It is necessary for us to accomplish the works of He who has sent Me while it is day; when the night comes no one is able to work. 5 Whenever I may be in the Society, I am the light of the Society!” 6 Saying these things He had spat on the ground and made a clay out of the spit and smeared him with the clay upon the eyes. 7 And He said to him: “Go wash in the pool of Siloam (which is translated ‘Sent’).” Then he departed and washed and came seeing. 8 Then the neighbors and those having observed him before, because he was a beggar, said “Is this man not he who sits and begs?” 9 Others said that “It is he!” Others said “No, but he is like him.” The man said that “I am!” 10 Therefore they said to him “Then how have your eyes been opened?” 11 He replied: “The man who is called Yahshua made clay and smeared it on my eyes and said to me that ‘Go to Siloam and wash’. Then departing and washing I saw!” 12 And they said to him “Where is He?” He says “I do not know.”

13 They brought him who was once blind to the Pharisees. 14 Now it was a Sabbath on the day which Yahshua had made the clay and opened his eyes. 15 Then again the Pharisees also were asking how he now saw. And he said to them “He smeared clay on my eyes and I washed myself and I see!” 16 Then some from among the Pharisees said “This man is not from Yahweh, because He does not keep the Sabbath!” But others said “How is a sinful man able to do signs such as these?” And there was division among them. 17 Then they again said to the blind man “What do you say concerning Him, that He opened your eyes?” So he said that “He is a prophet!”

18 Therefore the Judaeans did not believe it concerning him, that he was blind and now saw, until when they had called the parents of him whose sight had been restored. 19 And they asked them, saying “Is this your son, whom you say that he had been born blind? So how does he now see?” 20 Therefore his parents responded and said “We know that he is our son and that he had been born blind. 21 But how he sees now we do not know, or who has opened his eyes we do not know. You ask him. He is mature, he may speak concerning himself.” 22 His parents said these things because they feared the Judaeans. For already the Judaeans agreed that if one should profess Him as Christ, he would be put out of the assembly hall. 23 For this reason his parents said that “He is mature, you question him”.

24 Therefore they called the man who was blind for a second time and said to him “You must give the honor to Yahweh, we know that this man is a wrongdoer!” 25 Then he replied: “I do not know if He is a wrongdoer. One thing I do know, that being blind now I see!” 26 Therefore they said to him: “What has He done to you? How have your eyes been opened?” 27 He replied to them “I told you already and you did not hear! Why again do you wish to hear? Do you also wish to become His students?” 28 And they abused him and said “You are a student of that man, but we are students of Moses! 29 We know that Yahweh spoke to Moses, but we do not know where He is from!” 30 The man replied and said to them “For in this is a wondrous thing, that you do not know where He is from, yet He opened my eyes! 31 We know that Yahweh does not hear wrongdoers, but if one should be reverent and would do His will, that man He hears. 32 From of old it has not been heard that the eyes of one born blind have been opened! 33 Unless this man were from Yahweh, He is not able to do anything!” 34 They replied and said to him: “You were born entirely in sin and you teach us?” And they cast him outside.

35 Yahshua heard that they cast him out and finding him said “Do you have faith in the Son of Man?” 36 He replied and said “And who is He, Master, that I should have faith in Him?” 37 Yahshua said to him: “You have both seen Him, and it is He who is speaking with you.” 38 Then he said “I do believe, Master!” And He worshipped Him.

39 And Yahshua said: “For judgment I have come into this Society, that those not seeing would see and those seeing would be made blind!” 40 Some of the Pharisees being with Him heard these things and they said to Him “Are we also blind?” 41 Yahshua said to them: “If you were blind, you would not have fault. But now you say that ‘We see’, your fault remains!

X “1 Truly, truly I say to you, he not entering through the door into the pen of the sheep, but going up from another place, that man is a thief and a robber. 2 But he entering through the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 For him the doorman opens and the sheep hear his voice and he calls his own sheep by name and he leads them out. 4 When all of his own go out, he goes before them and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. 5 Yet they shall not follow another, but flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Yahshua spoke this parable to them, but they did not know what these things were which He spoke to them.

7 Therefore Yahshua spoke again: “Truly, truly I say to you that I am the door of the sheep! 8 All as many as have come before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door! If one should enter by Me he shall be preserved and shall enter in and shall go out and he shall find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except that he may steal and slaughter and destroy. I have come in order that they would have life and they would have abundance!

“11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life on behalf of the sheep! 12 The hired hand, who also not being the shepherd, of whom the sheep are not his own, watches the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf seizes and scatters them, 13 because he is a hired hand and there is no care in him concerning the sheep!

“14 I am the Good Shepherd and I know Mine and Mine know Me, 15 just as the Father know Me and I know the Father, and I lay down My life on behalf of the sheep. 16 And I have other sheep which are not from this pen, and these it is necessary for Me to bring and they shall hear My voice, and they shall be one flock, one shepherd.

“17 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life in order that I would receive it again. 18 No one takes it from Me. Rather I lay it down by Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to receive it again. This command I have received from My Father.”

19 There was division again among the Judaeans on account of these words. 20 Then many from among them said “He is mad and has a demon! Why do you listen to Him?” 21 Others said “These are not the words of one possessed by a demon! Is a demon able to open the eyes of the blind?”

22 Then there was the feast of dedication in Jerusalem – it was winter – 23 and Yahshua walked about in the temple on the porch of Solomon. 24 Then the Judaeans surrounded Him and said to Him: “How long do You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, speak to us openly!” 25 Yahshua replied to them: “I have spoken to you and you do not believe! The works which I do in the name of My Father, these things testify concerning Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not My sheep! 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me, 28 and I give to them eternal life and they are not lost forever and one shall not snatch them from My hand. 29 My Father who gave them to Me is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them from the hand of the Father! 30 I and the Father are One!”

31 Again the Judaeans took up stones that they would stone Him. 32 Yahshua replied to them: “Many good works have I shown you from of the Father. Of those, because of what sort of work do you stone Me?” 33 The Judaeans replied to Him: “We do not stone You on account of a good work but on account of blasphemy, and because You being a man make Yourself a god!” 34 Yahshua replied to them: “Is it not written in your law that ‘I have said, Ye are gods’? 35 If He spoke of them as gods to whom the Word of Yahweh had come, and the writing is not able to be broken, 36 He whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the Society, you tell that ‘You blaspheme’, because I said I am a son of Yahweh? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, you should not believe Me. 38 But if I do, even if in Me you would not believe, you should believe in the works, that you must know and understand that the Father is with Me and I with the Father!” 39 Therefore they again sought to seize Him, yet He got away from their hand.

40 And He departed again across the Jordan to the place where Iohannes was first immersing and He abode there. 41 And many came to Him and said that “Indeed Iohannes made not one sign, but all whatever Iohannes said concerning this man was true!” 42 And many there believed in Him.

XI 1 And there was a certain sick man, Lazaros from Bethania, from of the town of Mariam and her sister Martha. 2 Now it was Mariam who anointed the Prince with ointment and wiped off His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazaros was sick. 3 Therefore the sisters sent to Him saying “Prince, behold, he whom You are fond of is sick!” 4 Then hearing Yahshua said “This sickness is not to result in death, but is for the honor of Yahweh, in order that the Son of Yahweh is magnified on account of it!” 5 Now Yahshua loved Martha and her sister and Lazaros. 6 Therefore as He heard that he is sick, then at that time He remained in that place where He was for two days, 7 whereupon after this He says to the students: “We should go into Judaea again.” 8 The students say to Him “Rabbi, now the Judaeans sought to stone You, yet again You go there?” 9 Yahshua replied “Are there not twelve hours in a day? If one should walk in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of this order. 10 But if one should walk in the night, he stumbles because the light is not with him.”

11 He spoke these things, and after this He says to them: “Lazaros our friend sleeps! But I shall go that I shall awaken him.” 12 Then the students said to Him: “Prince, if he sleeps, he shall be preserved.” 13 Now Yahshua spoke concerning his death, but they supposed that He speaks concerning the sleep of slumber. 14 So then Yahshua said to them frankly: “Lazaros has died, 15 yet I rejoice on account of you, that you shall have faith, because I was not there, but we must go to him.” 16 Then Thomas, who is called Twin, said to the fellow students: “Must we also go, that we may die with him?”

17 Then coming Yahshua found him having already been in the tomb for four days. 18 Now Bethania was close to Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia, 19 and many of those of the Judaeans had come to Martha and Mariam in order that they may comfort them concerning the brother. 20 Then as Martha heard that Yahshua comes she went to meet Him, but Mariam sat in the house. 21 Then Martha said to Yahshua: “Prince, if You were here my brother would not have died! 22 But even now I know that whatever You should ask Yahweh, Yahweh shall give to You!” 23 Yahshua says to her: “Your brother shall be resurrected.” 24 Martha says to Him: “I know that he shall be resurrected in the resurrection on the last day!” 25 Yahshua said to her: “I am the Resurrection and the Life. He believing in Me shall live even if he may die, 26 and each who lives and believes in Me shall not die forever. Do you believe this?” 27 She says to Him: “Yes, Prince! I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of Yahweh coming into Society!” 28 And saying this she departed and called Mariam her sister, saying secretly: “The Teacher is present and calls you!” 29 Then as she heard, she arose quickly and went to Him. 30 Not yet then had Yahshua come into the town, but He was still in the place where Martha had met Him. 31 Then the Judaeans who being with her in the house and comforting her, seeing that Mariam arose quickly and departed, followed her supposing that she goes to the tomb that she may weep there.

32 Therefore as Mariam came to where Yahshua was, seeing Him she fell at His feet saying to Him: “Prince, if You were here my brother would not have died!” 33 Then as Yahshua saw her weeping, and the Judaeans having come with her weeping, He was deeply moved in Spirit and Himself disturbed 34 and said “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him “Prince, come and look!” 35 Yahshua shed tears, 36 therefore the Judaeans said “See how He has affection for him!” 37 Then some from among them said: “Was He not able, who opens the eyes of the blind, to make it that also this man would not die?”

38 Then Yahshua, again being deeply moved within Himself, comes to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone laid upon it. 39 Yahshua says “Remove the stone!” Martha, the sister of he who is dead, says to Him “Prince, he already smells, for it is the fourth day!” 40 Yahshua says to her “Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you shall see the splendor of Yahweh?” 41 Therefore they removed the stone. Then Yahshua lifted the eyes up and said “Father, I am thankful to You that You have heard Me. 42 Now I have known that You always hear Me, but on account of the crowd which is present have I spoken, that they may believe that You have sent Me.” 43 And saying these things He cried out with a great voice: “Lazaros, come out!” 44 The dead man came out bound at the feet and hands with swathing bandages and his face wrapped with a cloth. Yahshua says to them: “Untie him and let him go.”

45 Then many from among the Judaeans, they having come to Mariam and observing the things which He had done, believed in Him. 46 Then some from among them went off to the Pharisees and told them the things which Yahshua had done.

47 Then the high priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said “What do we do, seeing that this man makes many signs? 48 If we should leave Him thusly, they shall all believe in Him, and the Romans shall come and they shall take both our place and our nation!” 49 Then a certain one from among them, Kaiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them: “You do not know anything, 50 nor do you consider that it is advantageous to you that one man should die on behalf of the people, and the whole nation not be lost.” 51 (Yet he did not say this by himself, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Yahshua was about to die on behalf of the nation, 52 and not only on behalf of the nation, but that also He would gather into one the children of Yahweh who had been dispersed.) 53 Therefore from that day they determined that they would kill Him.

54 Therefore Yahshua no longer walked openly among the Judaeans, but departed from there to a place near the desert, to a city called Ephraim, and there He remained with the students.

55 Now it was near the Passover of the Judaeans, and many went up to Jerusalem from the countryside before the Passover that they may sanctify themselves. 56 Therefore they sought Yahshua and standing in the temple they spoke with each other: “What do you think? That He would not come to the feast?” 57 Then the high priests and the Pharisees had given a command that if anyone may know where He is he should disclose it, in order that they may seize Him.

    The Oracles of John

    The Gospel of John
    Chapters 12 through 21
    From The Christogenea New Testament
    ? 2009 William R. Finck Jr.

XII 1 Then six days before the Passover Yahshua went into Bethania, where Lazaros was whom Yahshua had raised from among the dead. 2 Therefore they made a dinner for Him there, and Martha served, but Lazaros was one among those reclining with Him.

3 Then Mariam taking a pound of pure ointment of spikenard of great value, anointed the feet of Yahshua and wiped His feet off with her hair. Now the house had been filled from the odor of the ointment, 4 then Ioudas Iskarioth, one of His students – he who is going to betray Him – says: 5 “For what reason has this ointment not been sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” 6 (But he said this not because he had care in him for the poor, but because he was a thief and carried the case holding the savings.) 7 Therefore Yahshua said “Let her be, that she would keep this for the day of My burial. 8 For you always have the poor among yourselves, but you do not always have Me.”

9 Then a great multitude from among the Judaeans learned that He is there and they came not on account of Yahshua only, but that also they would see Lazaros whom He raised from among the dead. 10 Then the high priests determined that they should also kill Lazaros, 11 because on account of him many of the Judaeans were drawn off and believed in Yahshua.

12 The next day a great crowd having come to the feast, hearing that Yahshua comes to Jerusalem, 13 they took the branches of date-palms and they went out to meet Him and they cried out: “Oh save! Blessed is He coming in the Name of Yahweh, the King of Israel!” 14 Then Yahshua finding a young ass sat upon it, just as it is written: 15 “Fear not, daughter of Sion, behold! Your King comes, sitting upon the foal of an ass!” 16 His students did not understand these things at first, but when Yahshua had been magnified, then they remembered that these things were written in reference to Him and that they had done these things for Him. 17 Therefore the crowd had testified which had been with Him when He called Lazaros from out of the tomb and raised him from among the dead. 18 For this reason also the crowd met Him, because they heard that He had done this sign. 19 Therefore the Pharisees said to themselves: “You see that you are not of any help? Behold, Society goes off after Him!”

20 Now there were some Greeks among those going up that they may worship at the feast. 21 Then these had come to Philippos who is from Bethsaida of Galilaia and had asked him, saying: “Master, we wish to see Yahshua.” 22 Philippos comes and speaks to Andreas, Andreas and Philippos come and speak to Yahshua. 23 Then Yahshua replies to them: “The hour has come that the Son of Man would be magnified! 24 Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falling to the ground dies, it remains alone. But if it should die, it bears much fruit. 25 He loving his life loses it, and he hating his life in this Society keeps it for eternal life! 26 If one would serve Me, he must follow Me, and where I am there also My servant shall be! If one should serve Me, the Father shall honor him!

“27 Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour? But for this reason have I come to this hour! 28 Father, magnify Your Name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have both magnified and again I shall magnify it!” 29 Therefore the crowd which stood and having heard it said “Thunder has come!” Others said “A messenger spoke to Him!” 30 Yahshua replied and said: “Not on account of Me has this voice come, but on account of you. 31 Now judgment is of this Society; now the ruler of this Society shall be cast out! 32 And if I am lifted up from this earth, I shall draw all to Myself!” 33 Now He said this signifying what sort of death He was about to die.

34 Then the crowd replied to Him: “We have heard from the law that the Christ abides forever, and how do You say that it is necessary for the Son of Man to be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?” 35 Therefore Yahshua said to them “Yet a little the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that the darkness may not overtake you, as he walking in the darkness does not know where he goes. 36 While you have the Light, believe in the Light, in order that you may be sons of Light.” Yahshua said these things, and having departed hid from them.

37 Now having made so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, 38 in order that the word of Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled, which says: “Yahweh, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of Yahweh been revealed?” 39 For this reason they have not been able to believe, because again Isaiah said: 40 “He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their hearts, that they should not see with the eyes and perceive with their hearts and turn about, that I shall heal them.” 41 Isaiah said these things because he had seen His honor, and had spoken concerning Him. 42 Yet likewise even many of the leaders believed in Him, but on account of the Pharisees they would not profess it lest they would be expelled from the assembly hall, 43 for they cherished the honor of men more than even the honor of Yahweh.

44 Then Yahshua cried out and said: “He believing in Me does not believe in Me but in He who had sent Me, 45 and he seeing Me see He who has sent Me! 46 I am the Light having come into the Society, that each believing in Me should not abide in darkness! 47 And if one should hear and should not keep My words, I do not judge him. For I have not come that I judge the Society, but that I shall save the Society! 48 He rejecting Me and not receiving My words has one judging him: the Word which I have spoken, that shall judge him on the last day. 49 For I have not spoken from of Myself, but He who has sent Me, the Father Himself, gave to Me a command, what I shall say and what I shall speak. 50 And I know that His command is eternal life. The things which I speak, just as the Father spoke to Me, thusly I speak!”

XIII 1 Now before the feast of Passover, Yahshua knowing that His hour had come when He would cross over from this order to the Father, having loved those of His own who were in the order, to the end He loved them. 2 And dinner taking place, with the False Accuser already putting into the heart of Ioudas the son of Simon Iskarioth that he would betray Him, 3 knowing that the Father has given all things into His hands and that He has come out from Yahweh and to Yahweh He goes, 4 He rises from dinner and lays aside His garments and taking a cloth girds Himself. 5 Then He puts water into the water-basin, and began to wash the feet of the students and to wipe them off with the cloth in which He was girt. 6 Then He comes to Simon Petros, who says to Him “Prince, will You wash my feet?” 7 Yahshua replied and said to him: “That which I do you do not know right now, but you should understand after these things.” 8 Petros says to Him: “You may not wash my feet forever!” Yahshua replied to him: “If I do not wash you, you do not have a part with Me!” 9 Simon Petros says to Him “Prince, do not wash my feet only, but also the hands and the head!” 10 Yahshua says to him: “He who is bathed does not have need except to wash the feet, but is entirely clean. And you are clean, but not all!” 11 For He knew the man betraying Him. For this reason He said that “You are not all clean”.

12 Therefore when He washed their feet and took His garments and reclined again, He said to them: “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Prince’, and you speak well, for I am. 14 Therefore if I, the Prince and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you are also obliged to wash the feet of one another. 15 For I have given to you an example in order that just as I have done for you, you also should do. 16 Truly, truly I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master nor an ambassador greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, you are blessed if you would do them.

“18 I do not speak concerning all of you. I know the ones I have chosen. But in order that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He eating My bread has raised his heel against Me!’ 19 Right now I say to you before that which is to happen, so that you may believe it when it happens, that I am! 20 Truly, truly I say to you, he receiving the ones whom I should send receives Me, and he receiving Me receives He who has sent Me!”

21 Saying these things Yahshua was troubled in Spirit and testified and said: “Truly, truly I say to you that one from among you shall betray Me.” 22 The students looked at each other, being puzzled concerning whom He speaks. 23 There was reclining in the bosom of Yahshua one from among His students whom Yahshua loved. Therefore Simon Petros motions to him to inquire about whom it could be concerning whom He speaks. 25 Then he reclining thusly upon the breast of Yahshua says to Him “Prince, who is it?” 26 Yahshua replied: “It is he for whom I shall dip a morsel and give it to him.” Then having dipped a morsel He gave it to Ioudas the son of Simon Iskarioth. 27 And after the morsel then the Adversary entered into him. Therefore Yahshua says to him: “That which you shall do, do quickly!” 28 But not one of those reclining knew for what reason He said this to him. 29 For some supposed, since Ioudas held the case, that Yahshua tells him: “Buy the things of which we have need for the feast”, or that he should give something to the poor. 30 Therefore having taken the morsel he went out immediately. And it was night.

31 Then when he went out, Yahshua says: “Now the Son of Man is magnified and Yahweh is magnified in Him, 32 and Yahweh magnifies Himself in Him, and magnifies Him immediately. 33 Children, shortly still I am with you. You shall seek Me, and just as I said to the Judaeans, that where I go you are not able to come, to you also I speak now. 34 I give to you a new commandment: that you should love one another; just as I have loved you that you also should love one another. 35 By this they shall all know that you are My students, if you would have love for one another.”

36 Simon Petros says to Him: “Prince, where do You go?” Yahshua replied to him: “Where I go you shall not be able to follow Me now, but you shall follow later.” 37 Petros says to Him “Prince, for what reason am I not able to follow You right now? On behalf of You I shall lay down my life!” 38 Yahshua replies: “You lay down your life on behalf of Me? Truly, truly I say to you, the cock should not crow until when you have denied Me three times!

XIV “1 Your hearts must not be troubled. You have faith in Yahweh and you have faith in Me. 2 In the house of My Father there are many abodes. But if not, I would have told you that I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I should go and prepare a place for you, I come again and take you to Myself, in order that where I am you also would be. 4 And where I go, you know the way.”

5 Thomas says to Him: “Prince, we do not know where You go! How do we know the way?” 6 Yahshua says to him: “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one goes to the Father except through Me! 7 If you have known Me, you should also know My Father. Even now you know and have seen Him!”

8 Philippos says to Him “Prince, show us the Father, and it shall satisfy us.” 9 Yahshua says to him: “For so long a time I am with you and you do not know Me, Philippos? He who has seen Me has seen the Father! How do you say ‘show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words which I speak to you I do not say by Myself, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. 11 You should believe Me, that I am in the Father and the Father in Me. But if not, on account of His works you should believe.

“12 Truly, truly I say to you, he believing in Me the works which I do he also shall do, and he shall do greater than these, because I go to the Father. 13 And whatever you shall ask in My Name this I shall do, that the Father would be magnified in the Son. 14 If you should ask Me anything in My name I shall do it.

“15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I shall ask the Father and He will give to you another advocate, that it would be with you forever, 17 the Spirit of Truth, which Society is not able to receive, because it does not see nor does it know it. You know it, because it abides with you and it is in you. 18 I shall not leave you fatherless: I come to you. 19 Shortly yet and Society shall no longer see Me, but you shall see Me, because I live and you shall live. 20 On that day you shall know that I am in My Father and you in Me and I in you. 21 He having My commandments and keeping them is he who loves Me. Then he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and make Myself manifest to him.”

22 Iouda (not Iskarioth) says to Him: “Prince, what comes to pass that You are going to make Yourself manifest to us and not to Society?” 23 Yahshua replied and said to him: “If one would love Me he shall keep My word, and My Father shall love him and We shall come to him and We shall make an abode with him. 24 He not loving Me does not keep My words. And the word which you hear is not Mine but is of the Father who has sent Me.

“25 I have spoken these things to you abiding with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, which the Father shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all things and shall remind you of all things which I have told you.

“27 I leave you peace. My peace I give to you. Not as Society gives do I give to you. Your hearts must not be troubled nor afraid. 28 You have heard that which I said to you: I go and I come to you. If you have loved Me you would have rejoiced that I go to the Father, because the Father is greater than Me. 29 And now I have spoken to you before it happens, in order that when it should happen you shall believe. 30 No longer shall I discuss many things with you, for the ruler of Society comes, and he does not have anything in Me! 31 But in order that Society would know that I love the Father, then just as the Father has given a command to Me, thusly I shall do. Arise, we must go from here.

XV “1 I am the True Vine and My Father is the Planter. 2 Each branch in Me not bearing fruit He takes it, and each bearing fruit He cleanses it, in order that it would bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean through the word which I have spoken to you. 4 You abide in Me, and I in you. Just as the branch is not able to bear fruit by itself unless it should abide on the vine, thusly neither do you unless you would abide in Me. 5 I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who is abiding in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you are not able to do anything. 6 If one should not abide in Me, he shall be cast outside like a branch that has withered and they gather and they cast them into the fire and it burns. 7 If you abide in Me and My words should abide in you, whatever you should desire you may ask and it shall come to you. 8 In this My Father is honored: that you would bear much fruit, and you would be My students.

“9 Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you. You abide in My love. 10 If you will keep My commandments you shall abide in My love, just as I have kept the commandments of My Father and I abide in His love. 11 These things I have spoken to you in order that My joy would be in you and your joy would be fulfilled. 12 This is My commandment: that you love one another just as I have loved you. 13 A greater love than this no one has: that one would lay down his life on behalf of his friends. 14 You are My friends if you would do the things which I command you. 15 No longer do I call you a servant, because a servant does not know what his master does. But you I have proclaimed friends because all things which I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have ordained you in order that you should go and bear fruit and your fruit would abide, that whatever you may ask the Father in My Name He would give to you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.

“18 If Society hates you, know that it hated Me before you. 19 If you were from of Society, Society would have loved its own. But because you are not from of Society, but I have chosen you out of Society, for this reason Society hates you. 20 Remember the word which I spoke to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they have persecuted Me, they shall also persecute you. If they have kept My word, they shall also keep yours. 21 But all these things they shall do to you on account of My Name, because they do not know He who has sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no error, but now they have no excuse concerning their errors. 23 He hating Me also hates the Father! 24 If I had not done among them works which no one else has done, they would have no error. But now they have both seen and hated both Me and My Father, 25 but in order that the Word would be fulfilled which is written in their law, that ‘They have hated Me for naught.’

“26 When the Advocate should come, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth which goes out from the Father, that shall testify concerning Me. 27 But you also shall testify, because you are with Me from the beginning.

XVI “1 I have spoken these things to you in order that you are not entrapped. 2 They will have you put out of the assembly halls. But the hour comes when anyone slaying you would suppose to be offering a service to Yahweh. 3 And they shall do these things because they have not known the Father nor Me. 4 But I have spoken these things to you in order that when their hour should come you may remember that I told you of them. Yet I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I go to He who had sent Me, and not one from among you should ask Me ‘Where do You go?’ 6 But because I have spoken these things to you, grief has filled your hearts. 7 Yet I speak the truth to you: it is an advantage to you that I depart. For if I would not depart, the Advocate shall not come to you. But if I go, I shall send Him to you. 8 And coming He shall convict Society concerning error and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment. 9 Indeed concerning error, because they do not believe in Me. 10 Then concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you shall see Me no longer. 11 Then concerning judgment, because the ruler of this Society has been judged.

“12 Many things have I to say to you, but you are not able to bear them even now. 13 But when He should come, the Spirit of Truth, He shall guide you in all truth. For He shall not speak by Himself, but as many things as He shall hear, He shall speak and He shall report to you the coming things. 14 He honors Me, because He shall receive from of Me and shall report it to you. 15 All things as much as the Father has are Mine. For this reason I said that He receives from of Me and reports to you.

“16 Shortly and you shall no longer see Me, then again shortly and you shall see Me.” 17 Therefore some from among His students said to one another: “What is this which He says to us, ‘Shortly and you shall not see Me, then again shortly and you shall see Me’, and that ‘I go to the Father’?” 18 Then they said: “What is this He speaks, ‘Shortly’? We do not know what He says!”

19 Yahshua knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them: “Concerning this you inquire with one another because I said ‘Shortly and you shall not see Me, then again shortly and you shall see Me’? 20 Truly, truly I say to you that you shall weep and lament, but Society shall rejoice. You shall be grieved, but your grief shall be made into joy. 21 When a woman gives birth she has pain, because her hour has come. But when she should give birth to the child, no longer does she remember the distress on account of the joy because a man has been born into Society. 22 Therefore you also have grief indeed, but I shall see you again, and your hearts shall rejoice, and no one takes your joy from you.

“23 And in that day you shall ask Me nothing. Truly, truly I say to you, anything you shall ask the Father in My Name He shall give to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My Name. Ask and you shall receive, that your joy would be fulfilled.

“25 I have spoken these things to you in parables. The hour comes when I shall no longer speak to you in parables, but with frankness I shall report to you concerning the Father. 26 In that day you shall ask in My Name, and I do not say to you that I shall ask the Father for you. 27 For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and you have believed that I came out from Yahweh. 28 I came from the Father and I spoke to Society. Again I leave Society and I go to the Father.”

29 His students say: “Look, now You speak with frankness and speak not with any parable. 30 We know that You know all things and You have no reason that one should question You. By this we believe that You have come out from Yahweh.” 31 Yahshua replied to them: “Even now do you believe? 32 Behold, the hour comes and has come that you shall be scattered each to his own affairs and you will leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me! 33 I have spoken these things to you that in Me you should have peace. In Society you have distress, but you must have courage, I have prevailed over Society!”

XVII 1 Having spoken these things Yahshua then lifting His eyes to heaven said “Father, the hour has come. Honor Your Son, that the Son may honor You. 2 Just as You have given to Him authority over all flesh, that all which You have given Him, to them He would give eternal life. 3 And this is the eternal life; that they may know You are the only true God and whom You have sent: Yahshua Christ. 4 I have honored You upon the earth, completing the work which You have given Me that I should do. 5 And now You honor Me, Father, with Yourself in the honor which I had with You before the existing Society.

“6 I have made manifest Your Name to the men whom You have given Me from out of Society. They were with You and to Me You have given them and they kept Your Word. 7 Now they have known that all as many things as You gave to Me are from You, 8 because the words which You have given to Me I gave to them, and they have received and they know truly that I have come out from You, and they believe that You have sent Me.

“9 I ask for them; I do not ask for Society but for those whom You gave to Me, because they are with You, 10 and all which are Mine are Yours and Yours Mine, and I am honored by them. 11 And no longer am I in Society, yet they are in Society, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your Name which You gave to Me, that they would be one just as We. 12 When I was with them I kept and I guarded them in Your Name which You gave to Me, and not one from among them is lost except the son of destruction, in order that the writing would be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You and I say these things in Society that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I gave to them Your Word and Society has hated them, because they are not from of Society just as I am not from of Society. 15 I do not ask that You would take them out of Society, but that You would keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not from of Society, just as I am not from of Society. 17 Sanctify them in the truth. Your Word is truth. 18 Just as You have sent Me into Society, I also have sent them into Society. 19 And on behalf of them I sanctify Myself, in order that they also would be sanctified in truth.

“20 I do not ask for these alone, but also for those believing in Me through their word, 21 that they would all be one, just as You, Father are in Me and I in You, that they also would be in Us, in order that Society would believe that You have sent Me. 22 And the honor which You gave to Me I gave to them, that they would be one just as We are one, 23 I in them and You in Me, that they would be perfected in one, in order that Society would know that You have sent Me and You have loved them just as You have loved Me.

“24 Father, that which You gave to Me, I wish that where I am, they also would be with Me, in order that they would see My honor which You gave to Me because You have loved Me before the founding of Society. 25 Righteous Father, although Society has not known You, yet I know You; and these, they know that You have sent Me. 26 And I have made known to them Your Name, and I know that the love with which You have loved Me is in them, by which I also am in them.”

XVIII 1 Saying these things Yahshua went out with His students across the brook of Kedron where there was a garden, into which He and His students entered. 2 Now Ioudas His betrayer also knew the place, because many times Yahshua gathered there with His students.

3 Then Ioudas, receiving a cohort and deputies from among the high priests and from among the Pharisees, comes there with torches and lamps and weapons. 4 Therefore Yahshua knowing all the things coming upon Him went out and says to them “What do you seek?” 5 They replied to Him “Yahshua the Nazoraian”. He says “I am”. And Ioudas His betrayer also stood with them. 6 Then as He said to them “I am”, they withdrew to the rear and fell to the ground. 7 There He questioned them again, “What do you seek?” And they said “Yahshua the Nazoraian”. 8 Yahshua replied: “I said to you that I am, therefore if you seek Me, let them go”, 9 in order that the Word would be fulfilled which said that “those whom You gave to Me, I have lost not one from among them”. 10 Then Simon Petros, having a sword, drew it and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. And Malchos was the name of the servant. 11 Therefore Yahshua said to Petros: “Put the sword into the sheath! The cup which the Father gave to Me, shall I not drink it?”

12 Then the cohort and the commander and the deputies of the Judaeans seized Yahshua and they bound 13 and brought Him to Hannas first, for he was the father-in-law of Kaiaphas who was high priest for that year. 14 Now it was Kaiaphas who had advised the Judaeans that it is advantageous for one man to die on behalf of the people.

15 Now Simon Petros and another student had followed Yahshua, and that student was known by the high priest and he entered in with Yahshua into the court of the high priest, 16 but Petros stood outside by the door. Then the other student, he known by the high priest, went out and spoke with the doorkeeper and he brought Petros in. 17 Therefore the doorkeeper, a servant girl, says to Petros: “Are you also one of the students of this Man?” He says: “I am not.” Then the servants and the deputies, having made a charcoal fire because it was cold, stood and they warmed themselves. And Petros also was with them, standing and warming himself.

19 Then the high priest questioned Yahshua concerning His students and concerning His teaching. 20 Yahshua replied to him: “I have spoken openly to Society. Always I have taught in the assembly hall and in the temple, where all the Judaeans gather, and in secret I have said nothing. 21 Why do you question Me? Question those who have heard what I have spoken to them. Behold, these, they know the things which I have said.” 22 Then upon His speaking these things one of the deputies standing by had given Yahshua a slap saying “Thusly should You reply to the high priest?” 23 Yahshua replied to him: “If I have spoken badly, testify concerning the bad, but if well, why do you strike Me?” 24 Therefore Hannas sent Him bound to Kaiaphas the high priest.

25 Now Simon Petros was standing and warming himself. Then they said to him: “Are you one from among His students?” He denied it and said “I am not”. 26 One from among the servants of the high priest, a kinsman of he whose ear Petros had cut off, says “Had I not seen you in the garden with Him?” 27 Then again Petros denied it, and immediately a cock crowed.

28 Then they brought Yahshua from Kaiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning, and they did not enter into the Praetorium, that they would not be defiled but may eat the Passover.

29 Therefore Pilatos came outside to them and declared: “What charge do you bring against this man?” 30 They replied and said to him “If this man was not doing evil, we would not have delivered Him to you!” 31 Therefore Pilatos said to them: “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” The Judaeans said to him: “It is not lawful for us to slay anyone”, 32 that the word of Yahshua would be fulfilled which He spoke indicating by what sort of death He was going to die.

33 Therefore Pilatos entered again into the Praetorium and called to Yahshua and said to Him: “Are You the King of the Judaeans?” 34 Yahshua replied: “Do you say this by yourself or have others spoken to you concerning Me?” Pilatos replied: “What, am I a Judaean? Your nation and the high priests delivered You to me. What have You done?” 36 Yahshua replied: “My Kingdom is not from of this Society. If My Kingdom was of this Society, My deputies would have fought in order that I would not be delivered to the Judaeans. But now My Kingdom is not from here.” 37 Therefore Pilatos said to Him: “Then are You King?” Yahshua replied: “You say that I am a king. For this I had been born and for this I have come into Society: in order that I may testify to the truth. Each who is from of the truth hears My voice.” 38 Pilatos says to Him: “What is truth?”

And saying this he again went out to the Judaeans and says to them: “I find not any guilt in Him. 39 But it is a custom with you that I shall release one for you on the Passover. Therefore do you wish that I release for you the King of the Judaeans?” 40 Then they cried out again saying “Not this man, but Barabbas!” And Barabbas was a robber.

XIX 1 So then Pilatos took and whipped Yahshua. 2 And the soldiers having braided a crown out of thorns placed it upon His head, and with a purple cloth they cloaked Him. 3 And they came to Him and said “Hail! King of the Judaeans!”, and had given Him slaps on the face. 4 And Pilatos went outside again and says to them: “Behold, I bring Him outside to you, that you may know that I find not any guilt in Him!” 5 Then Yahshua came outside, wearing the crown of thorn and the purple cloth. And he says to them: “Behold the man!”

6 Therefore when the high priests and the deputies saw Him they cried out, saying “Crucify Him!” Pilatos says to them: “You take and crucify Him. For I do not find guilt in Him!” 7 The Judaeans replied to him: “We have a law and according to the law He is liable to die, because He has made Himself a Son of Yahweh.” 8 Then when Pilatos heard this word, still more he feared, 9 and entered into the Praetorium again and says to Yahshua: “From where are You?” But Yahshua gave him no reply. 10 Therefore Pilatos says to Him: “You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You and I have authority to crucify You?” 11 Yahshua replied to him: “You do not have any authority over Me if it was not given to you from above. For this reason he who delivered Me to you has greater fault.” 12 From this point Pilatos sought to release Him. But the Judaeans cried out, saying “If you should release this man, you are no friend of Caesar! Anyone making Himself king speaks in opposition to Caesar!” 13 Therefore Pilatos hearing these words led Yahshua outside and sat upon a step in a place called “Stonepaved”, but in Hebrew “Gabbatha”. 14 Now it was the preparation day of the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he says to the Judaeans: “Behold, your king!” 15 Then they cried out “Kill! Kill! Crucify Him!” Pilatos says to them: “Shall I crucify your king?” The high priests replied: “We have no king except Caesar!” 16 So then he handed Him over to them that He would be crucified.

Therefore they took Yahshua, 17 and bearing the cross for Him, He went out to what is called “Place of the Skull”, which is called in Hebrew “Golgotha”, 18 where they crucified Him, and with Him two others on the left and right, and Yahshua in the middle. 19 Then Pilatos wrote an inscription and set it upon the cross, and it was written: “Yahshua the Nazoraian, the King of the Judaeans”.

20 Therefore many of the Judaeans read this inscription, because the place where they crucified Yahshua was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew in Roman, and in Greek. 21 Then the high priests of the Judaeans said to Pilatos: “Do not write ‘King of the Judaeans’, but that He said ‘I am King of the Judaeans’!” 22 Pilatos replied: “That which is written, is written!”

23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yahshua, took His garments and they made four parts, a part for each soldier, and the shirt. Now the shirt was seamless, woven altogether from the top. 24 Therefore they said to one another: “We shouldn’t tear it, but we should cast lots for it, whose it shall be”, that the writing would be fulfilled: “They divided My garments among themselves and cast lots for My clothing”. So therefore the soldiers did these things.

25 Now there stood by the cross of Yahshua His mother and the sister of His mother, Maria the wife of Klopas and Maria the Magdalene. 26 Then Yahshua seeing the mother and that student which He loved standing near, He says to the mother: “Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He says to the student: “Behold your mother!” And from that hour the student took her into his own affairs.

28 With this, Yahshua seeing that He had already finished all things, in order that the writing would be completed, He says: “I thirst!” 29 A vessel full of vinegar sat there. Therefore they brought to His mouth a sponge full of vinegar wrapped in hyssop. 30 Then when He received the vinegar Yahshua said “It is finished!” And turning the head He surrendered the Spirit.

31 Therefore the Judaeans, since it was the preparation day, that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a great day), asked Pilatos that they may break their legs and they may be taken away. 32 Therefore the soldiers came and they broke the legs of the first and of the other which they crucified with Him. 33 But coming to Yahshua, as they saw that He had already died, they did not break His legs, 34 but one of the soldiers pierced the ribs with his lance, and immediately there came out blood and water. 35 And he having seen it has testified, and truthful is his testimony, and he knows that he speaks truth, in order that you also may believe. 36 For these things happened in order that the writing would be fulfilled: “A bone of His shall not be broken”. 37 And again another writing says “They shall look at He whom they have pierced”.

38 Then after these things Ioseph from Harimathaia, being a student of Yahshua (but secretly on account of fear of the Judaeans), asked Pilatos that he may take the body of Yahshua, and Pilatos permitted it. Therefore he came and took His body. 39 Then Nikodemos also came (he having come at first to Him at night), bearing a mixture of ointment and aloe, about a hundred pounds. 40 Therefore they took the body of Yahshua and they bound it in linen cloths with the perfumes, just as it is a custom with the Judaeans to bury. 41 Now there was in the place where He was crucified a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one as yet was buried. 42 So there, on account of the preparation day of the Judaeans, because the tomb was near, they had laid Yahshua.

XX 1 Now on the first day of the week Maria the Magdalene comes early to the tomb – it still being dark – and sees the stone having been lifted from the tomb. 2 Therefore she runs and comes to Simon Petros and to that other student whom Yahshua loved and says to them: “They have taken the Prince out of the tomb and we do not know where they have laid Him!” 3 Therefore Petros and that other student went out and went to the tomb. 4 Then the two ran together, and that other student ran ahead faster than Petros and came first to the tomb, 5 and peering in he sees the linens lying, however he did not enter. 6 Then comes also Simon Petros following him and he entered into the tomb, and he sees the linens lying, 7 and the cloth which was upon His head, not lying with the linens but apart, having been rolled up in another place. 8 So then the other student also entered, who came first to the tomb, and he saw and believed. 9 For not yet had they known the scripture, that it is necessary for Him to be resurrected from among the dead. 10 Therefore the students departed back to them.

11 Then Maria stood outside by the tomb weeping. So as she wept, she peered into the tomb 12 and sees two messengers in white sitting down, one by the head and one by the feet where the body of Yahshua had lain. 13 And they said to her: “Woman, why do you weep?” She says to them: “Because they have taken my Prince, and I do not know where they have laid Him!” 14 Saying these things she turned to the rear and saw Yahshua standing, yet did not know that it is Yahshua. 15 Yahshua says to her “Woman, why do you weep? What do you seek?” She, supposing that it is the gardener, says to Him: “Master, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I shall take Him.” 16 Yahshua says to her: “Maria!” Turning she says to Him in Hebrew: “Rabboni!” (Which is said “Teacher”.) 17 Yahshua says to her: “You must not touch Me! For not yet have I gone up to the Father. Now you must go to My brethren and tell them: I go up to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God!” 18 Maria goes announcing to the students that “I have seen the Prince!”, and the things He said to her.

19 Then it being late on that day, the first of the week, and the doors being barred where the students were on account of fear of the Judaeans, Yahshua came and stood in the middle and says to them: “Peace to you.” 20 And saying this He showed the hands and the ribs to them. Therefore the students rejoiced seeing the Prince. 21 Then Yahshua said to them again: “Peace to you! Just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And saying this He inhaled and says to them “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 The errors of any of you should forgive, they are forgiven them; of any you should maintain, they are maintained.”

24 Now Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called “Twin”, was not with them when Yahshua came. 25 Therefore the other students said to him: “We have seen the Prince!” But he said to them: “Unless I could see the imprint of the nails in His hands and I put my finger in the imprint of the nails and I put my hand in His side, I shall not believe!” 26 And after eight days His students were inside again, and Thomas with them. The doors being barred, Yahshua comes and stood in the middle and said “Peace to you”. 27 Then He says to Thomas: “Bring your finger here and look at My hands and bring your hand and put it into My side, and you must not be faithless but faithful!” 28 Thomas replied and said to Him: “My Prince and My God!” 29 Yahshua says to him: “Because you have seen Me you believe! Blessed are those not seeing and believing!”

30 Now indeed also many other signs Yahshua did before His students, things which are not written in this book. 31 But these things are written in order that you may believe that Yahshua is the Anointed Son of Yahweh, and that believing you would have life in His Name.

XXI 1 After these things Yahshua showed Himself again to the students, by the sea at Tiberias. Now He showed Himself thusly: 2 there were together Simon Petros and Thomas who is called “Twin” and Nathanael who is from Kana of Galilaia and the sons of Zebedaios and two others of His students. 3 Simon Petros says to them: “I go to fish.” They said to him: “We also will come with you.” They went out and boarded into the vessel, and on that night they caught nothing. 4 Then morning already having come Yahshua stood on the shore, however the students did not know that it is Yahshua. 5 So Yahshua says to them: “Children, have you not anything to eat?” They replied to Him “No”. 6 Then He said to them: “Cast the net to the right side of the vessel, and you shall find.” Therefore they cast, and no longer were they able to draw it because of the multitude of fish. 7 Then that student whom Yahshua loved says to Petros: “It is the Prince!” So Simon Petros hearing that it is the Prince girt himself with the frock, for he was naked, and cast himself into the sea, 8 but the other students came in the boat – for they were not far from the land but about two hundred cubits – dragging along the net full of fish. 9 Then as they went up onto the land they see a charcoal fire spread out and fish and bread lying upon it. 10 Yahshua says to them: “Bring from the fish which you have caught now.” 11 Then Simon Petros went up and dragged to the land the net full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three. Yet there being so many, the net did not tear. 12 Yahshua says to them: “Come, have breakfast!” And not one of the students dared to inquire of Him: “Who are You?”, knowing that He is the Prince. 13 Yahshua comes and takes the bread and gives it to them, and likewise the fish. 14 This is already the third time Yahshua appeared to the students, having risen from the dead.

15 Therefore when they had breakfast Yahshua says to Simon Petros: “Simon son of Iohannes, do you love Me more than these?” He says to Him: “Yes Prince, You know that I love You.” He says to him: “Feed My lambs.” 16 Again He says to him a second time: “Simon son of Iohannes, do you love Me?” He says to Him: “Yes Prince, You know that I love You!” He says to him: “Tend to My sheep.” 17 He says to him a third time: “Simon son of Iohannes, do you love Me?” Petros was grieved that He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”, and says to Him: “Prince, You know all things! You know that I love You!” Yahshua says to him: “Feed My sheep! 18 Truly, truly I say to you, when you were young, you girt yourself and walked about wherever you wished. But when you should grow old, you shall extend your hand, and another shall gird and bring you where you do not wish.” 19 Now He said this indicating with what sort of death he would honor Yahweh. And upon saying this He says to him: “Follow Me.”

20 Turning Petros sees the student whom Yahshua loved following, he who had also reclined upon His breast at the dinner and said “Prince, who is he betraying You?” 21 Therefore Petros seeing him says to Yahshua: “Prince, but what about this man?” 22 Yahshua says to him: “If I wish him to abide until I come, what is it to you? You follow Me.” 23 Therefore this word went out to the brethren, that that student would not die. But Yahshua had not said to him that he would not die, but “If I wish him to abide until I come, what is it to you?”

24 This is the student who is testifying concerning these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true. 25 Now there are also many other things Yahshua had done, which if each one were written, I suppose that Society itself would not have space for the books which would be written.

      The First Epistle of John

      The First Epistle of John
      From The Christogenea New Testament
      ? 2009 William R. Finck Jr.

I 1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we have observed, and our hands have touched concerning the Word of Life: 2 that the life was made manifest, and we have seen and we bear witness and we announce to you the eternal life which was with the Father and has been made manifest to us. 3 That which we have seen and we have heard, we announce also to you, that you also would have fellowship with us. Yet now our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Yahshua Christ. 4 And we write these things in order that our joy would be fulfilled.

5 And this is the message which we have heard from Him and we announce to you: that Yahweh is light and there is not any darkness in Him. 6 If we should say that we have fellowship with Him and we would walk in darkness, we lie and we do not practice the truth. 7 But if we would walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of His Son Yahshua cleanses us from all guilt. 8 If we should say that we have no guilt, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we would admit our errors, He is trustworthy and just, that He would remit the errors for us and would cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we should say that we have not done wrong, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

II 1 My children, I write these things to you in order that you do not do wrong. And if one should do wrong, we have an Advocate with the Father: the righteous Yahshua Christ. 2 And He is a propitiation on behalf of our errors; yet not for ours only but for the whole Society.

3 And by this we may know that we know Him, if we would keep His commandments. 4 He saying that he knows Him and not keeping His commandments, he is a liar and the truth is not in him. 5 But he whom would keep His word, truly the love of Yahweh is perfected in him: by this we know that we are in Him. 6 He purporting to abide in Him, just as He had walked, thusly he also is obliged to walk.

7 Beloved, I do not write to you a new commandment, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the Word which you have heard. 8 Contrariwise, I write to you a new commandment, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness passes by and the true light already shines: 9 He purporting to be in the light and hates his brother is in darkness even now. 10 He loving his brother abides in the light and there is no offense in him. 11 But he hating his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness and knows not where he goes, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

12 I write to you, children, because your errors are remitted through His Name. 13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have prevailed over the Evil One. 14 I have written to you, little children, because you know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong and the Word of Yahweh abides in you and you have prevailed over the Evil One.

15 Do not love Society nor the things in Society. If one should love the Society, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 Because all which is in Society, the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the pretense of life, is not from of the Father but is from of Society, 17 and the Society passes on, and its desire, but he doing the will of Yahweh abides forever.

18 Little children, it is the last hour, and just as you have heard that the Antichrist comes, even now many Antichrists have been born, from which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They came out from us but they were not from of us. For if they were from of us, they would have abided with us, but so that they would be made manifest that they are all not from of us. 20 Yet you have an anointing from the Holy One and you know all. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it and because any lie is not from of the truth.

22 Who is a liar, if not he denying that Yahshua is the Christ? He is the Antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son! 23 Each denying the Son has not the Father either; he being in agreement with the Son also has the Father. 24 That which you have heard from the beginning must abide in you. If that which you have heard from the beginning should abide in you, you also shall abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise which He promised to us: eternal life.

26 I have written these things to you in reference to those leading you astray. 27 And the anointing which you have received from Him, it abides in you and you have no need that one should teach you, but as His anointing teaches us concerning all things and is true and is not a lie, then just as He has taught you, you abide in Him.

28 And now, children, you abide in Him, that if He should appear, we would have freespokenness and would not be dishonored by Him at His presence. 29 If you know that He is righteous, you also know that each who is practicing righteousness has been born from of Him.

III 1 Look at the sort of love which the Father gave to us, that we should be called children of Yahweh! And we are. For this reason Society does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of Yahweh, and not yet has it been made manifest what we shall be. We know that if He is made manifest, we shall be like Him, since we shall see Him just as He is. 3 And each who having this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

4 Each who is practicing wrongdoing also practices lawlessness, and wrongdoing is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He has been made manifest that He may remove errors, and there is no wrongdoing in Him. 6 Each who is abiding in Him does not do wrong. Each who is doing wrong has not seen Him nor does he know Him.

7 Children, let no one deceive you, he who is bringing about justice is just, even as He is just. 8 He who is creating error is from of the False Accuser, since the False Accuser errs from the beginning. For this the Son of Yahweh has been made manifest, in order that He would do away with the works of the False accuser. 9 Each who has been born from of Yahweh does not create wrongdoing, because His seed abides in him, and he is not able to do wrong, because from of Yahweh he has been born. 10 By this are manifest the children of Yahweh and the children of the False Accuser. All who are not bringing about justice are not from of Yahweh, and he not loving his brother, 11 because this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 Not as Kain who was from of the Wicked One and slaughtered his brother; and with delight he slaughtered him, because his deeds were evil, but those of his brother righteous.

13 Do not wonder, brethren, if Society hates you. 14 We know that we have passed over from out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He not loving abides in death. 15 Each hating his brother is a murderer, and you know that any murderer does not have eternal life abiding in him. 16 By this we know love: that He has laid down His life on our behalf, and we are obliged to lay down our lives on behalf of the brethren. 17 Now who would have the substance of Society and should see his brother having need and shuts off his affections from him? How does the love of Yahweh abide in him? 18 Children, we should not love in word nor with the tongue, but in deeds and in truth.

19 By this we know that we are from of the truth, and we shall persuade our hearts before Him, 20 because perhaps our hearts may condemn us, since Yahweh is greater than our hearts and He knows all things. 21 Beloved, if perhaps the heart does not condemn, we have openness with Yahweh 22 and that which we should ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and we practice acceptable things before Him.

23 And this is His commandment, that we shall believe in the name of His Son Yahshua Christ and we love one another, just as He has given a commandment to us. 24 And he keeping His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, from of the Spirit which He has given to us.

IV 1 Beloved, do not have trust in every spirit, but scrutinize whether the spirits are from of Yahweh, because many false prophets have gone out into Society. 2 By this you know the Spirit of Yahweh: each spirit which professes that Yahshua Christ has come in the flesh is from of Yahweh, 3 and each spirit which does not profess Yahshua is not from of Yahweh, and this is the Antichrist, whom you have heard that it comes, and is already now in Society.

4 You are from of Yahweh, children, and you have prevailed over them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in Society. 5 They are from of Society: for this reason from of Society they speak and Society hears them. 6 We are from of Yahweh: he knowing Yahweh hears us. He who is not from of Yahweh does not hear us. From this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.

7 Beloved, we should love one another, because love is from of Yahweh, and each who loves has been born from of Yahweh and knows Yahweh. 8 He not loving does not know Yahweh, because Yahweh is love. 9 By this the love of Yahweh is manifest in us, because Yahweh sent His best-loved Son into Society in order that we may live through Him. 10 In this is love: not that we loved Yahweh but that He has loved us and has sent His Son, a propitiation for our errors.

11 Beloved, if Yahweh has loved us thusly, we also are obliged to love one another. 12 No one has at any time seen Yahweh. If we should love one another, Yahweh abides in us and His love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He gave to us from of His Spirit. 14 And we witnessed and we testify that the Father sent the Son, Savior of Society. 15 He who shall profess that Yahshua is the Son of Yahweh, Yahweh abides in him and he in Yahweh. 16 And we know and we believe the love which Yahweh has for us.

Yahweh is love, and he abiding in love abides in Yahweh and Yahweh abides in him. 17 By this the love is perfected among us, that we would have freespokenness in the day of judgment, because just as He is, we also are in this Society. 18 There is not fear in love, but love perfected casts out the fear. Because fear involves punishment, he being fearful has not been perfected in love. 19 We love because He has loved us first. 20 If one should say that ?I love Yahweh? and hates his brother, he is a liar! For he not loving his brother whom he has seen, he is not able to love Yahweh whom he has not seen. 21 And we have this commandment from Him, that he loving Yahweh also loves his brother.

V 1 Each believing that Yahshua is the Christ has been born from of Yahweh, and each loving He who engendered loves he having been engendered by Him. 2 By this we know that we should love the children of Yahweh, when we would love Yahweh and we would keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of Yahweh, that we should keep His commandments: and His commandments are not burdensome! 4 For everything which has been engendered by Yahweh prevails over Society, and this is the victory prevailing over Society: our faith.

5 Now who is he prevailing over Society if not he who believes that Yahshua is the Son of Yahweh? This is He having come through water and blood, Yahshua Christ. Not by water only but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit which testifies, because the Spirit is the Truth. 7 For there are three bearing witness, 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are in One. 9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of Yahweh is greater. Now this is the testimony of Yahweh that He testified concerning His Son: 10 He believing in the Son of Yahweh has the testimony within him. He not believing in Yahweh make Him a liar, because he does not believe in the testimony which Yahweh has testified concerning His Son. 11 And this is the testimony: that Yahweh has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He having the Son has the life; he not having the Son of Yahweh does not have the life.

13 These things I have written to you in order that you would see that you have eternal life, to those believing in the Name of the Son of Yahweh. 14 And this is the freespokenness which we have before Him, that whatever we may ask in accordance with His will He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, that which we may request, we know that we have the requests which we asked from Him.

16 If one should see his brother committing an error not resulting in death, he shall ask and he shall give life to him, to those doing wrong not resulting in death. There is an error resulting in death. I do not speak concerning that, that one should ask! 17 All wrongdoing is injustice, yet there is wrongdoing not resulting in death.

18 For we know that each who has been born from of Yahweh does not do wrong, rather he born from of Yahweh keeps himself and the Evil One does not touch him. 19 We know that we are from of Yahweh and the whole Society lies in the power of the Evil One. 20 Yet we know that the Son of Yahweh has come and gave to us an understanding that we may know the truth, and we are in the truth, among the number of His Son Yahshua Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

21 Children keep yourselves from idols.

        The Second Epistle of John
        From The Christogenea New Testament
        ? 2009 William R. Finck Jr.

1 The elder to the elect mistress and her children, whom I love in truth, and not I only but also all those knowing the truth, 2 on which account the truth abides in us and shall be with us forever. 3 Favor, mercy, peace shall be with us from Yahweh the Father and from Yahshua Christ the Son of the Father in truth and in love.

4 I have rejoiced exceedingly because I found some from among your children walking in truth, just as we have received a commandment from the Father. 5 And now I ask you, mistress, not as if writing a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that you should love one another. 6 And this is the love: that you would walk in accordance with His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that in this you should walk.

7 For many deceivers have come into Society, those not agreeing that Yahshua Christ comes in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Antichrist. 8 Watch yourselves, that you would not lose the things which we have accomplished, but you would receive a full reward.

9 Each who going forth and not abiding in the teaching of Christ has not Yahweh. He abiding in the teaching, he also has the Father and the Son. 10 If one comes to you and does not bear this teaching, do not receive him into the house and do not speak to welcome him! 11 For he speaking to welcome him takes a share in his evil works.

12 Having many things to write to you I have not had desire by paper and ink, but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that your joy would be fulfilled.

13 The children of your elect sister greet you.

          From The Christogenea New Testament
          ? 2009 William R. Finck Jr.

1 The elder to the beloved Gaios, whom I love in truth.

2 Beloved, concerning all things I pray that you are to prosper and be healthy, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced exceedingly upon the brethren coming and bearing witness of you in the truth, just as you walk in truth. 4 Greater joy than this I do not have: that I hear of my children walking in the truth.

5 Beloved, do with faith whatever you may accomplish for the brethren, and this too for guests. 6 They have testified of you with love before the assembly, whom you shall do well sending forth worthily of Yahweh. 7 For on behalf of the Name they came out, taking nothing from the heathens. 8 Therefore we are obliged to receive such as these, that we would become fellow-workmen in the truth.

9 I have written something to the assembly, but Diotrephes, who loves being the leader, does not admit us. 10 For this reason, if I should come, I shall mention his deeds which he does, babbling about us with evil words. And not being satisfied with these things, neither does he admit the brethren and those who are willing to, he forbids and ejects from the assembly!

11 Beloved, you must not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He doing good is from of Yahweh. He doing evil has not seen Yahweh. 12 Demetrios is attested to by all and by the truth itself. But we also bear witness, and you know that our testimony is true.

13 I have many things to write to you, but I do not wish with ink and a pen to write to you. 14 Now I hope to see you soon, and we shall speak face to face.

15 Peace to you. The friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.

I 1 A revelation from Yahshua Christ which Yahweh had given to Him to show to His servants the things which are necessary to happen quickly, and He having sent explained through His messenger to His servant Iohannes, 2 who bore witness to the Word of Yahweh and the testimony of Yahshua Christ, as many things as he had seen. 3 Blessed is he reading and those hearing the words of the prophecy and keeping the things written in it, for the time is near.

4 Iohannes, to the seven assemblies which are in Asia, favor and peace to you from He who is and who was and who is coming, and from the seven spirits which are before His throne 5 and from Yahshua Christ, the Witness, the Faithful One, the First Born from the dead and He ruling the kings of the earth. To He who loves us and has released us from our errors with His blood, 6 and has made us a kingdom, priests to Yahweh ? even His Father ? to Him is the honor and the sovereignty for the eternal ages, truly.

7 Behold! He comes with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, even whoever had pierced Him, and all the tribes of the earth shall mourn before Him. Yeah, truly!

8 ?I am the Alpha and the Omega?, says Yahweh God, ?He who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.?

9 I, Iohannes, your brother and fellow-companion in the tribulation and kingdom and endurance in Yahshua, was on the island called Patmos on account of the Word of Yahweh and the testimony of Yahshua. 10 I was in the spirit on the day of the Prince and heard a great voice behind me, like a trumpet, 11 saying ?That which you see write in a book and send to the seven assemblies: to Ephesos and to Smurna and to Pergamos and to Thuateira and to Sardeis and to Philadelpheia and to Laodikeia.

12 And I turned to see the voice which spoke with me, and turning I saw seven golden lampstands 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man clothed down to the feet and girt with a golden belt to the breasts. 14 Now His head and hairs white as wool, white as snow, and His eyes as flames of fire 15 and His feet like fine brass as if having been burned in a furnace, and His voice as a voice of many waters, 16 and having in His right hand seven stars and coming out from His mouth a sharp two-edged sword, and His eyes like the sun shines in its power.

17 And when I saw Him, I fell to His feet as if dead, and He placed His right hand upon me, saying: ?Fear not! I am the First and the Last, 18 and He who lives, and was dead, and behold! I live for the eternal ages and I have the Keys of death and of Hades! 19 Therefore write the things which you see and the things which are and the things which are going to happen after these: 20 the mystery of the seven stars which you see in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands. The seven stars are messengers of the seven assemblies and the seven lampstands are seven assemblies.

II ?1 For the messenger of the assembly in Ephesos, write: Thus says He commanding the seven stars in His right hand, He walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: 2 I know your works and your toil and patience, and that you are not able to bear evils, and have tried those calling themselves ambassadors yet they are not, and you have found them liars, 3 and you have patience and have endured on account of My Name and have not grown weary. 4 But I hold against you that you have left your first love. 5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen and repent and do these first works. But if not, I shall come to you and I shall remove your lampstand from its place, if you should not repent. 6 This other thing you have: that you hate the works of the people-conquerors, which I also hate. 7 He having an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies! To he who prevails I shall give to him to eat from the tree of life which is in the paradise of Yahweh.

?8 And to the messenger of the assembly in Smurna, write: Thus says the First and the Last, He who was dead and lives, 9 I know your tribulation and poverty (but you are wealthy), and the blasphemy from those saying for themselves to be Judaeans and they are not, but are a congregation of the Adversary. 10 Do not fear the things which you are going to suffer. Behold, the False Accuser is going to cast some from among you into prison, that you may be tried, and you shall have tribulation for ten days. You must be faithful until death, and I shall give to you the prize of life. 11 He having an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies! He who prevails shall not be harmed by the second death.

?12 And to the messenger of the assembly in Pergamos, write: Thus says He having the sharp two-edged sword, 13 I know where you dwell, where the throne of the Adversary is, and you possess My Name and you did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas My witness, My faithful one, who was slain before you, where the Adversary dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those holding the teaching of Balaam, who had taught Balak to put a trap before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit fornication. 15 Thusly you have also those holding the teaching of the people-conquerors in like manner. 16 Therefore repent, but if not I will come to you quickly and I shall make war with them by the sword of My mouth. 17 He having an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies! To he who prevails, I shall give to him the hidden manna, and I shall give to him a white stone, and written upon the stone a new name, which no one knows except he receiving.

?18 And to the messenger of the assembly in Thuateira, write: Thus says the Son of Yahweh, He having His eyes as flames of fire and His feet like fine brass, 19 I know your works and your love and faith and righteousness and patience, and your last works are greater than the first. 20 But I have against you that you allow that woman Iezabel who calls herself a prophetess, and teaches and deceives My servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 And I have given her time, in order that she would repent, yet she did not wish to repent from her fornication. 22 Behold, I cast her into a bed, and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation if they do not repent from her works, 23 and I shall slay her children with death, and all of the assemblies shall know that I am He who examines minds and hearts, and I shall give to each according to your works. 24 Now I say to you for the rest of those in Thuateira, as many who do not have this teaching, whoever has not known the depths of the Adversary as they speak: I do not cast upon you another burden, 25 but hold fast that which you have until when I should come. 26 Now he who prevails and who keeps My works until the end, I shall give to him authority over the Nations, 27 and he shall shepherd them with an iron staff as it breaks ceramic vessels, 28 as I also have received from My Father. And I shall give to him the morning star. 29 He having an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies!

III ?1 And to the messenger of the assembly in Sardeis, write: Thus says He having the seven Spirits of Yahweh and the seven stars, I know your works, that you have a name that you may live, and you are dead. 2 You must be alert and establish the remaining things which were about to die, for I have not found your works completed before My God. 3 Therefore remember how you have received and have heard and keep and repent. Then if you should not be alert, I shall come as a thief, and you may not know what hour I shall come upon you. 4 But you have a few names in Sardeis which have not soiled their garments, and they shall walk with Me in white, because they are worthy. 5 He who prevails thusly shall be cloaked in white garments and his name shall not be wiped out of the Book of Life and I shall profess his name before My Father and before His messengers. 6 He having an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies!

?7 And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia, write: Thus says the Holy One, the Truthful One, He having the Key of David, He opening and no one shall close, and closing then no one opens, 8 I know your works. Behold, I gave before you a door having been opened, which no one is able to close it, because you have a little strength and have kept My Word and have not denied My Name. 9 Behold, I shall give those from of the congregation of the Adversary saying for themselves to be Judaeans, and they are not but they are liars, behold: I shall make them that they shall come and they shall worship before your feet and they may know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My Word with patience, I also shall keep you from the hour of trial about to come upon the whole inhabited earth to test those dwelling upon the earth. 11 I come quickly! Hold fast that which you have, that no one may take your reward. 12 He who prevails I shall make him a pillar in the temple of My God that he would no longer go outside, and I shall write upon him the Name of My God and the name of the City of My God, of the new Jerusalem which descends from heaven from My God, and My new Name. 13 He having an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies!

?14 And to the messenger of the assembly in Laodikeia, write: Thus says the Sure One, the Faithful and Truthful Witness, the Beginning of the creation of Yahweh, 15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would be obliged you were cold or hot! 16 So because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth! 17 Because you say that ?I am rich? and ?I have become wealthy? and ?I have need of nothing?, and you do not know that you are miserable and pitiful and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire in order that you would be wealthy, and white garments in order that you would be cloaked and the shame of your nakedness not be manifest, and eye-salve to anoint your eyes in order that you may see. 19 I as many as I should love I censure and I discipline, therefore be zealous and repent! 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If one should hear My voice and open the door, then I shall enter in to him and I shall dine with him and he with Me. 21 He who prevails I shall give to him to sit with Me on My throne, as I also have prevailed and I have sat with My Father on His throne. 22 He having an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies!?

IV 1 After these things I looked, and behold! A door being opened in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard as a trumpet speaking with me saying ?Come up here, and I shall show to you the things which are necessary to happen.? After these things 2 immediately I was in the Spirit, and behold! A throne fixed in heaven, and He sitting upon the throne. 3 And He sitting alike in appearance to a jasper stone, and a sardius, and a rainbow around the throne alike in appearance to emerald, 4 and around the throne twenty-four thrones, and upon the thrones twenty-four elders sitting, cloaked in white garments and upon their heads gold crowns. 5 And going out from the throne stars and voices and thunders, and seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of Yahweh, 6 and before the throne as a sea of glass like crystal. And in the midst of the throne and around the throne four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind. 7 And the first living creature like a lion, and the second living creature like a young bull, and the third living creature having a face as a man, and the fourth living creature like a flying eagle. 8 And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings above, full of eyes all around and within, and they do not have rest, day and night saying ?Holy, holy, holy, Prince Yahweh Almighty, who was and who is and who is coming!? 9 And whenever the living creatures give honor and dignity and gratitude to Him sitting upon the throne, to He who lives for the eternal ages, 10 the twenty-four elders fall before Him sitting upon the throne and they worship He who lives for the eternal ages and they cast their crowns before the throne, saying 11 ?You are worthy, our Prince and God, to receive honor and dignity and power, because You have created all things and by Your will were they then created!?

V 1 And I saw at the right hand of Him sitting upon the throne a scroll, written on the inside and on the back, having been sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty messenger proclaiming with a great voice: ?Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loosen its seven seals?? 3 And no one was able in heaven nor upon the earth nor under the earth to open the scroll or to see it. 4 And I wept much, because no one is found worthy to open the scroll or to see it. 5 And one from among the elders says to me: ?Weep not! Behold! The lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and its seven seals!?

6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as if having been slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes which are the seven Spirits of Yahweh having been sent out into all the earth. 7 And He came and received it from the right hand of Him sitting upon the throne.

8 And when He received the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell before the Lamb each having a lyre and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints, 9 and they sang a new song, saying ?You are worthy to receive the scroll and to open its seven seals, because You have been slaughtered and You have purchased for Yahweh with Your blood out of each tribe and tongue and people and nation 10 and have made them a kingdom and priests for our God, and they shall rule over the earth!?

11 And I looked, and heard a sound of many messengers around the throne, and of the living creatures and of the elders, and the number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands and thousands of thousands 12 saying with a great voice: ?Worthy is the Lamb which had been slaughtered to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and dignity and honor and praise!? 13 And every creature which is in heaven and upon the earth and under the earth and upon the sea and the things in them all heard, saying: ?To Him sitting upon the throne and to the Lamb is the praise and the dignity and the honor and the sovereignty for the eternal ages!? 14 And the four living creatures said ?Truly!? And the elders fell down and they worshipped.

VI 1 Then I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder: ?Come!? 2 And I saw, and behold! A white horse, and he sitting upon it having a bow, and a crown has been given to him and he went out conquering and that he may conquer.

3 And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying ?Come!? 4 And there went out another, a red horse, and to him sitting upon it, it has been given to him to take peace from the earth and that they slay one another, and a great sword has been given to him.

5 And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying ?Come!? And I saw, and behold! A black horse, and he sitting upon it having a scale in his hand. 6 And I heard like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying ?A quart of wheat for a denarion and three quarts of barley for a denarion, and you should not deal unrighteously with the olive oil and the wine!?

7 And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard a voice from the fourth living creature saying ?Come!? And I saw, and behold! A green horse, and he sitting upon it, his name is Death, and Hades follows after him, and authority over the fourth part of the earth has been given to them to kill by the sword and with famine and with death and by the beasts of the earth.

9 And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw beneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain on account of the Word of Yahweh and on account of the testimony which they had. 10 And they cried out with a great voice, saying ?How long, Holy and True Master, do You not judge and exact vengeance for our blood from those dwelling upon the earth?? 11 And there had been given to each of them a white robe and spoken to them that they should rest for a little while until they should be satisfied, and their fellow-servants and their brethren who are also going to be killed like them.

12 And I saw when He opened the sixth seal, and there happened a great earthquake and the sun became black as a sackcloth of hair and the whole moon became as blood 13 and the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree being shaken by a great wind casts its unripened figs, 14 and the heaven departed as a scroll being rolled and every mountain and island had been moved from their places. 15 And the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the wealthy men and the powerful men and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and they say to the mountains and to the rocks: ?Fall upon us!?, and ?Hide us from the face of Him sitting upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 because the great day of Their wrath has come, and who is able to stand??

VII 1 After this, I saw four messengers standing upon the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth that a wind would not blow upon the earth nor upon the sea nor upon any tree. 2 And I saw another messenger ascending from the rising of the sun having the seal of Yahweh who lives, and he cried out with a great voice to the four messengers to whom it had been given to do wrong to the earth and the sea, 3 saying: ?Do not do wrong to the earth nor to the sea nor to the trees, until we should seal the servants of our God upon their foreheads!?

4 And I heard the number of those being sealed, a hundred forty-four thousand, being sealed out of all the tribes of the sons of Israel:

5 from the tribe of Iouda twelve thousand being sealed,

from the tribe of Rouben twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,

6 from the tribe of Aser twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Nephthalim twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Manassa twelve thousand,

7 from the tribe of Sumeon twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,

8 from the tribe of Zaboulon twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Ioseph twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand being sealed.

9 After these things I looked, and behold! A great crowd, which to number it no one was able, from all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues standing before the throne and before the Lamb, having been cloaked in white robes and palm-branches in their hands, 10 and they cry out in a great voice, saying: ?Salvation is with our God sitting upon the throne and with the Lamb!? 11 And all the messengers stood around the throne, and those of the elders and the four living creatures also fell on their faces before the throne and they worshipped Yahweh, 12 saying: ?Truly, the praise and the honor and the wisdom and the gratitude and the dignity and the power and the might are for our God for the eternal ages, truly!?

13 And one from among the elders responded, saying to me: ?These who are cloaked in white robes, who are they? And from where have they come?? 14 And I said to him: ?My lord, you know!? And he said to me: ?These are they coming from out of the great tribulation and they have washed their robes and have whitened them in the blood of the Lamb. 15 For this reason they are before the throne of Yahweh and they serve Him day and night in His temple, and He sitting upon the throne shall tabernacle with them. 16 They shall hunger no longer, nor shall they thirst any longer, nor shall the sun fall upon them nor any burning heat, 17 because the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them and shall guide them to fountains of living waters, and Yahweh shall wipe every tear from their eyes!?

VIII 1 And when He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw seven messengers who stood before Yahweh, and they had given to them seven trumpets. 3 And another messenger having a golden censor came and stood upon the altar, and much incense had been given to him, that he may offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense with the prayers of the saints ascended from the hand of the messenger before Yahweh. 5 And the messenger took the censer and filled it from of the fire of the altar and cast it into the earth, and there were thunders and noises and lightnings and an earthquake.

6 And the seven messengers who having the seven trumpets prepared them in order that they may sound.

7 And the first sounded the trumpet, and there came hailstones and fire mixed with blood and it had been cast into the earth, and a third of the earth had been burnt, and a third of the trees had been burnt, and all the green grass had been burnt.

8 And the second messenger sounded the trumpet, and thus a great mountain burning with fire had been cast into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood 9 and a third of those creatures having souls of those in the sea died, and a third of the ships had been destroyed.

10 And the third messenger sounded the trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, burning as a lamp, and it fell upon a third of the rivers and upon the springs of waters, 11 and the name of the star is called Wormwood, and a third of the waters came to be wormwood and many of the men died from the waters because they had been made bitter.

12 And the fourth messenger sounded the trumpet, and a third of the sun had been struck, and a third of the moon and a third of the stars, that a third of them had become darkened, and the day did not shine for a third part of it, and likewise the night.

13 And I saw and heard one eagle flying in mid-air saying with a great voice: ?Woe, woe, woe for those dwelling upon the earth from the rest of the sounds of the trumpets of the three messengers who are about to sound!?

IX 1 And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star from heaven fallen to earth, and to him had been given the Key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke ascended from the pit like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air had become darkened from the smoke of the pit. 3 And from the smoke locusts came out into the earth, and authority had been given to them like the scorpions of the earth have authority. 4 And it had been spoken to them in order that they do not injure the grass of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, except those men who do not have the seal of Yahweh upon their foreheads. 5 And it had been given to them that they should not kill them, but that they shall be tested for five months, and their torment is as the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 And in those days men shall seek death yet they shall not find it, and they shall desire to die yet death flees from them.

7 And the likenesses of the locusts are like horses having been prepared for war, and upon their heads as crowns like gold, and their faces as faces of men, 8 and they had hair as hair of women, and their teeth were as of lions?, 9 and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings as a sound of many chariot-teams of horses running into battle, 10 and they had tails and stingers like scorpions, and their power is in their tails to injure men for five months. 11 They have over them a king: the messenger of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon but in Greek he has a name, Destroyer. 12 One woe has departed. Behold, there come yet two woes after these things!

13 And the sixth messenger sounded the trumpet, and I heard one voice from the four horns of the golden altar before Yahweh, 14 saying to the sixth messenger, he having the trumpet: ?Release the four messengers who are bound by the great river Euphrates!? 15 And the four messengers had been released, who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, that they should kill a third of the men. 16 And the number of the armies of the horsemen is two hundred million. I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those sitting upon them, having fiery-red and hyacinth and yellow breastplates, and the heads of the horses as heads of lions, and from their mouths came out fire and smoke and sulfur. 18 From these three plagues a third of the men had been killed, from the fire and from the smoke and from the sulfur coming out from their mouths. 19 For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails, and their tails like serpents, having heads and with them they injure.

20 And the rest of the men, those who had not been killed by these plagues, did not even repent from the works of their hands, that they do not worship demons and idols, things of gold and things of silver and things of copper and things of stone and things of wood, things which are able neither to see nor to hear nor to walk. 21 And they did not repent from their murders nor from their drugs nor from their fornication nor from thefts.

X 1 And I saw another mighty messenger descending from heaven cloaked in a cloud, and a rainbow upon his head and his face like the sun and his feet like pillars of fire, 2 and holding in his hand a small book having been opened. And he set his right foot upon the sea, then the left upon the land, 3 and he cried out in a great voice just as a lion roars. And when he cried out, the seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 And when the seven thunders uttered, I was about to write, and I heard a voice from out of heaven saying ?I have sealed the things which the seven thunders have uttered, and you should not write these things!?

5 And the messenger, whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth, raised his right hand to heaven 6 and swore by He who lives for the eternal ages, who created the heaven and the things in it and the earth and the things in it and the sea and the things in it, that there shall no longer be delay, 7 but in the days of the sound of the seventh messenger, when he is about to sound the trumpet, then the Mystery of Yahweh is completed as He had announced by His servants the prophets. 8 And the voice which I heard from out of heaven speaks with me again and says: ?Go take the book which is opened in the hand of the messenger who is standing upon the sea and upon the land!? 9 And I went to the messenger, saying to him: ?Give to me the small book!? And he says to me: ?Take and eat it, and your belly shall be bitter, but in your mouth it shall be sweet as honey.? 10 And I took the small book from the hand of the messenger and I devoured it, and it was in my mouth as sweet honey, and when I ate it, my belly had become bitter. 11 Then they say to me: ?It is necessary for you to prophecy again concerning many people and nations and tongues and kings!?

XI 1 And he had given to me a reed like a staff, saying ?Arise, and measure the temple of Yahweh and the altar and those worshipping at it. 2 And the court outside the temple leave out that you should not measure it, because it has been given to the heathens, and the Holy City they shall trample for forty and two months. 3 And I shall give to My two witnesses that they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days cloaked in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands which are standing before the Sovereign of the earth. 5 And if one wishes to harm them fire proceeds from their mouths and devours their enemies, and if one should wish to harm them, thusly is it necessary for him to die. 6 They have the authority to shut heaven, in order that water would not rain in the days of their prophecy, and they have authority over the waters, to turn them into blood and to smite the earth with every calamity as often as they should desire. 7 And when their testimony should be completed, the beast which ascends from out of the bottomless pit shall make war with them and shall conquer them and shall slay them. 8 And their bodies upon the streets of the great city, which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where also their Prince has been crucified. 9 And those from among the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations shall see their bodies for three and a half days and they do not allow their bodies to be buried in a tomb. 10 And those dwelling upon the earth rejoice over them and they delight and they shall send gifts to one another, because these two prophets had tormented those dwelling upon the earth. 11 And after the three and a half days a Spirit of life from Yahweh entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear had fallen upon those watching them. 12 And I heard a great voice from out of heaven saying to them: ?Come up here!? And they ascended into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them. 13 And at that hour there was a great earthquake and a tenth of the city fell and there had died in the earthquake seven thousand names of men, and those who remained became terrified and gave honor to the God of heaven. 14 The second woe has departed. Behold, the third woe comes quickly!

15 And the seventh messenger sounded the trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven saying ?The Kingdom of the Society of our Prince and of His Anointed has come, and He shall rule for the eternal ages!? 16 And the twenty-four elders who are sitting on their thrones before Yahweh fell upon their faces and worshipped Yahweh, 17 saying: ?We thank You, Prince Yahweh the Almighty, He who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and You have reigned. 18 And the heathens had been angry, yet Your anger has come, and the time to judge of the dead and to give the reward to Your servants the prophets and to the saints and to those who fear Your Name, to the small ones and to the great ones, and to destroy those destroying the earth!?

19 And the temple of Yahweh who is in heaven opened, and the ark of His covenant is seen in His temple, and there were lightnings and noises and thunders and an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

XII 1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman cloaked with the sun, and the moon beneath her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 And she conceiving in the womb then cries out travailing and being in distress to give birth. 3 And another sign appeared in heaven, and behold! A great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns and upon his heads seven diadems, 4 and his tail sweeps away a third of the stars of heaven and cast them into the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, in order that when she should give birth he may devour her child. 5 And she bore a man-child, He who is going to shepherd all the nations with an iron staff. And her child was carried up to Yahweh and to His throne. 6 And the woman fled into the desert where she has there a place having been prepared from Yahweh, in order that there they may nourish her for a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

7 And there was a war in heaven, Michael and his messengers fighting with the dragon. And the dragon fought, and his messengers, 8 and they did not prevail, nor was their place found any longer in heaven. 9 And the great dragon had been cast down, that serpent of old, who is called the False Accuser and the Adversary; he who deceives the whole inhabited earth had been cast into the earth, and his messengers had been cast down with him. 10 And I heard a great voice saying: ?Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God has come, and the authority of His anointed, because the accuser of our brethren has been cast down, he accusing them before our God day and night. 11 And they prevailed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they had not loved their lives even to death. 12 For this reason rejoice, heavens and those dwelling in them! Woe to the earth and the sea! Because the False Accuser has come down to you having great wrath, knowing that he has a short time!?

13 And when the dragon saw that he had been cast down into the earth, he persecuted the woman who had given birth to the man-child. 14 And they had given to the woman the two wings of a great eagle, in order that she may fly into the desert into her place, where she is nourished there for a time and times and half of a time from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent had cast from his mouth water as a river after the woman, in order that he may have her carried off by the river. 16 And the earth assisted the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and gulped down the river which the dragon had cast from his mouth. 17 And the dragon was angered by the woman and went to make war with those remaining of her offspring who keep the commandments of Yahweh and have the testimony of Yahshua. 18 And he stood upon the sand of the sea.

XIII 1 And I saw a beast ascending from out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads and upon its horns ten diadems and upon its heads a name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard and its feet as a bear?s and its mouth as a lion?s mouth, and the dragon had given to it his power and his throne and great authority. 3 And one from among its heads as if having been slaughtered unto death, yet the wound of its death had been healed. And the whole earth marveled after the beast 4 and they worshipped the dragon, because he had given authority to the beast, and they worshipped the beast, saying: ?Who is like the beast, and who is able to make war with it?? 5 And there had been given to it a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies and there had been given to it authority to act for forty and two months. 6 And it opened its mouth in blasphemies towards Yahweh to blaspheme His Name and His tabernacle, those dwelling in heaven. 7 And there had been given to it to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority had been given to it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. 8 And all those dwelling upon the earth worshipped it, of whom their names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb who had been slaughtered from the foundation of Society. 9 If one has an ear, he must hear! 10 If one is for captivity, into captivity he goes. If one is to be slain by the sword, he is to be slain by the sword. Thus is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11 And I saw another beast ascending from out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb and spoke as a dragon. 12 And all the authority of the first beast it practices in his presence. And it makes the earth and those dwelling in it that they shall worship the first beast, who had been healed from the wound of its death. 13 And he shall make a great sign, that even fire would be made from heaven to descend to earth before men, 14 and he would deceive those dwelling upon the earth through the signs which have been given to him to make in the presence of the beast, saying to those dwelling upon the earth to make an image for the beast, who has the wound of the sword and has lived. 15 And there had been given to him to give a spirit to the image of the beast, in order that the image of the beast may also speak and may make it that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be slain. 16 And it makes all, those who are small and those who are great and those who are wealthy and those who are poor and those who are free and those who are slaves, that they have given to them an engraved mark upon their right hand or upon their forehead, 17 and in order that one would not be able to buy or to sell if he has not the mark: the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Thus is wisdom: he having a mind must calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred sixty-six.

XIV 1 And I looked, and behold! The Lamb stood upon Mount Sion, and with Him a hundred forty-four thousand having His Name and the Name of His Father written upon their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from out of heaven like a sound of many waters and like a sound of great thunder, and the sound which I heard like lyre-players playing on their lyres. 3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders, and no one was able to learn the song except the hundred forty-four thousand, those having been purchased from the earth. 4 These are they who have not been defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are they who follow the Lamb wherever He should go. These have been purchased from among men, a first-fruit for Yahweh and for the Lamb, 5 and in their mouths a lie is not found: they are blameless.

6 And I saw another messenger flying in mid-air, having an eternal good message to announce before those sitting upon the earth and before every nation and tribe and tongue and people, 7 saying with a great voice: ?You must fear Yahweh and you must give honor to Him, because the hour of His judgment has come, and you must worship He who has made the heaven and the earth and the sea and springs of water!?

8 And another, second messenger followed saying: ?Babylon the great has fallen, has fallen! She who has made all the nations drink from the wine of the passion of her fornication!?

9 And another, third messenger followed them saying with a great voice: ?If one worships the beast and its image and receives an engraved mark upon his forehead or upon his hand, 10 then he shall drink from the wine of the wrath of Yahweh which is poured unmixed into the cup of His anger, and he shall be tormented in fire and sulfur before the holy messengers and before the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends for eternal ages, and they who worship the beast and its image and one who receives the engraved mark of its name shall not have rest day and night. 12 Thus is the patience of the saints, they keeping the commandments of Yahweh and the faith of Yahshua!?

13 And I heard a voice from out of heaven, saying: ?Write: ?Blessed are those dead among the number of the Prince who are dying from now on! Yeah?, says the Spirit, that ?they shall have rest from their labors, for their works follow with them!??

14 And I looked, and behold, a white cloud! And he sitting upon the cloud like a son of man, having upon his head a gold crown and in his hand a sharp scythe. 15 And another messenger came out from the temple crying out with a great voice to him sitting upon the cloud: ?Swing your scythe and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because parched is the harvest of the earth!? 16 And he sitting upon the cloud cast his scythe upon the earth and harvested the earth.

17 And another messenger came out from the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp scythe. 18 And another messenger came out from the altar, he having authority over the fire, and uttered with a great voice to him having the sharp scythe, saying: ?Swing your sharp scythe and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, because ripe are her grapes!? 19 And the messenger cast his scythe to the earth and gathered the vine of the earth and cast it into the great wine-vat of the wrath of Yahweh. 20 And the wine-vat was trampled outside of the city and blood came out from the wine-vat, as high as the bridles of horses for a thousand six hundred stades.

XV 1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and wondrous, seven messengers having the seven last plagues, that in them the wrath of Yahweh is fulfilled.

2 And I saw like a glass sea mixed with fire, and those prevailing from the beast and from his image and from the number of his name standing upon the glass sea holding lyres from Yahweh. 3 And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of Yahweh, and the song of the Lamb, saying: ?Your works are great and wonderful, Prince Yahweh Almighty! Your ways are righteous and true, King of the Nations! 4 Who should not be afraid, Prince, and honor Your Name? Because You are the only Holy One, because all the nations shall come and they shall worship before You, because Your judgments have been made manifest!?

5 And after these things I looked, and the temple of the tabernacle of testimony opened in heaven, 6 and the seven messengers having the seven plagues came out from the temple, clothed in clean bright linen and girt about the chest with gold belts. 7 And one from among the four living creatures had given to the seven messengers seven gold bowls filled with the wrath of Yahweh who lives for the eternal ages. 8 And the temple filled with smoke from the effulgence of Yahweh and from His power, and no one was able to enter into the temple until the seven plagues of the seven messengers are completed.

XVI 1 And I heard a great voice from out of the temple saying to the seven messengers: ?Go, and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of Yahweh into the earth!?

2 And the first went out and poured his bowl out into the earth, and there came a bad and grievous sore upon the men who have the engraved mark of the beast and who worship its image.

3 And the second poured his bowl out into the sea, and it became blood as if dead, and every soul of life died which was in the sea.

4 And the third poured his bowl out into the rivers and the springs of the waters, and they became blood. 5 And I heard the messenger of the waters saying ?You are righteous, He who is and who was, the Holy One, because You have judged these things! 6 Because they poured out the blood of the saints and prophets, You also gave them blood to drink. They are deserving!? 7 And I heard the altar saying ?Yeah, Prince Yahweh Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments!?

8 And the fourth poured his bowl out upon the sun, and had given to it to burn men with fire. 9 And the men had been burned by great heat and they blasphemed the Name of Yahweh who has authority over these plagues, and they did not repent to give honor to Him.

10 And the fifth poured his bowl out upon the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened, and their tongues strove from the toil, 11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven from their toils and their sores yet they did not repent from their works.

12 And the sixth poured his bowl out upon the great river Euphrates, and its waters dried, in order that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun should be prepared. 13 And I saw from out of the mouth of the dragon and from out of the mouth of the beast and from out of the mouth of the False Prophet three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 For they are the spirits of demons making signs, which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth to gather them to the battle of the great day of Yahweh the Almighty. 15 ?Behold! I come as a thief! Blessed is he being alert and keeping his garments, that he would not walk naked and they would see his shame!? 16 And He gathered them into the place called in Hebrew ?Harmagedon?.

17 And the seventh poured his bowl out upon the air, and a great voice came from out of the temple from the throne saying ?It has happened!? 18 And there were lightnings and noises and thunders and there was a great earthquake, such as had not happened from when man had come to be upon the earth was such an earthquake so great! 19 And the great city broke into three parts and the cities of the nations fell. And the great Babylon had been remembered before Yahweh, to give to her the cup of the wine of the wrath of His anger. 20 And every island fled, and the mountains were not found. 21 And a great hailstorm like boulders descends from out of heaven upon men, and the men blasphemed Yahweh from the plague of the hailstorm, because the plague of it is exceedingly great.

XVII 1 And one from among the seven messengers having the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying: ?Come, I shall show you the judgment of the great whore who sits upon many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth have fornicated, and those inhabiting the earth have been intoxicated from the wine of her fornication!? 3 And in the Spirit he brought me to a desert.

And I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast filled with names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet and gilt in gold and precious stones and pearls, having a gold cup in her hand full of abominations and the unclean things of her fornication, 5 and upon her forehead a name is inscribed: ?Mystery Babylon the Great, Mother of the Whores and the Abominations of the Earth?. 6 And I saw the woman intoxicated from the blood of the saints and from the blood of those bearing the testimony of Yahshua. And I marveled seeing this great wonder.

7 And the messenger said to me: ?For what reason do you marvel? I shall tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast carrying her, having the seven heads and ten horns! 8 The beast which you saw was and is not and is going to ascend from out of the bottomless pit and go into destruction, and those dwelling upon the earth, whose name is not written in the book of life from the foundation of Society, shall marvel seeing the beast that was and is not and shall be present. 9 Thus is the mind having wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains, where the woman sits upon them. And there are seven kings: 10 five have fallen, one is, another has not yet come, and when he should come it is necessary that he remains a short time. 11 And the beast which was and is not even he is the eighth and is from of the seven, and goes into destruction. 12 And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have never received a kingdom, but they shall receive authority as kings for one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind and power and they give their authority to the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb and the Lamb shall overcome them, because He is Prince of Princes and King of Kings and those with Him called and chosen and faithful!?

15 And he says to me: ?The waters which you saw where the whore sits are people and multitudes and nations and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which you saw and the beast, these shall hate the whore and they shall make her desolate and naked and they shall eat her flesh and they shall burn her down with fire. 17 For Yahweh has bestowed it into their hearts to do His will and to have one purpose, and to give their kingdom to the beast until the words of Yahweh shall be accomplished. 18 And the woman which you saw is the great city which has dominion over the kings of the earth.?

XVIII 1 After these things I saw another messenger descending from heaven having great authority, and the earth is illuminated from his effulgence. 2 And he cried out with a mighty voice saying: ?Babylon the great has fallen, has fallen! And it has become a dwelling-place for demons and a prison for every unclean spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird, 3 because from of the wine of the passion of her fornication fell all the nations, and the kings of the earth fornicated with her, and the merchants of the earth are enriched from the power of her wantonness!?

4 And I heard another voice from out of heaven, saying: ?You come out from her, My people, that you should not partake in her errors, and that you would not receive from of her wounds, 5 because her errors have built up as far as heaven and Yahweh has called to mind her injustices! 6 You return to her as she also had rendered, and you double twice the things according to her works. In the cup which she had mixed, you mix double for her! 7 As much as she had magnified herself and lived wantonly, so much you give torment and grief to her! Because in her heart she says that ?I sit a queen and I am not a widow and I have not seen grief?, 8 for this reason in one day shall her plagues come: death and grief and famine, and she shall be burned with fire, because mighty is Prince Yahweh who judges her!

?9 And the kings of the earth who had fornicated and lived wantonly with her shall weep and shall mourn over her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing from afar on account of the fear of her torment, saying ?Woe! Woe! The great city! Babylon the mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come!?

?11 And the merchants of the earth weep and lament over her, because no one buys their cargo any longer, 12 cargo of gold and of silver and of precious stone and of pearl and of linen and of cloths of purple and of silk and of scarlet, and every cedar timber and every ivory vessel and every vessel from of precious wood and of copper and of iron and of marble, 13 and cinnamon and incense and ointment and frankincense and wine and olive oil and flour and grain and herds and flocks, and of horses and of carriages and of bodies, and souls of men.

?14 And your maturity of youth, that of the desire of the soul, has departed from you, and all the rich things and the lustrous things have vanished from you, and no longer shall these things be found!

?15 The merchants of these things who are enriched from her shall stand from afar on account of the fear of her torment weeping, and lamenting 16 they say ?Woe! Woe! The great city, wrapped in linen and purple and scarlet and gilt with gold and with precious stone and with pearl, for in one hour such wealth is made desolate!? 17 And every pilot and all who are sailing by the place, and sailors and as many as are working the sea stood from afar 18 and cried out, seeing the smoke of her burning, saying ?What is like the great city?? 19 And they cast dirt upon their heads and cried out weeping and lamenting, saying ?Woe! Woe! The great city! In which all those having ships in the sea have been enriched from her value! For in one hour she is made desolate!?

?20 Rejoice over her, O heaven and saints and ambassadors and prophets, because Yahweh has passed the judgment of your condemnation of her!? 21 And the one mighty messenger took up a stone like a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying: ?Thusly with violence Babylon the great city is cast down, and she shall not be found hereafter! 22 And the sound of lyrists and poets and flutists and trumpeters shall not be heard in you hereafter! And every craftsman of every craft shall not be found in you hereafter! And the sound of a mill shall not be heard in you hereafter! 23 And the light of a lamp shall not shine in you hereafter! And the voice of the bridegroom and a bride shall not be heard in you hereafter! Because your merchants were the great men of the earth! Because by your pharmaceuticals have all the nations been deceived!? 24 And in her is found the blood of the prophets and saints and all those having been slaughtered upon the earth.

XIX 1 After these things I heard like a great sound of many multitudes in heaven, saying ?Praise Yah! Salvation and honor and power are of our God! Because His judgments are righteous and true, since He has judged the great whore who has ruined the earth with her fornication! And He has avenged the blood of His servants from her hand!? 3 Then they spoke a second time: ?Praise Yah, that her smoke ascends for the eternal ages!? 4 And the twenty-four elders fell down, and the four living creatures, and they worshipped Yahweh who sits upon the throne, saying: ?Truly! Praise Yah!? 5 And a voice came out from the throne, saying: ?Praise our God, all His servants, and fear Him, small men and great men!?

6 And I heard like a sound of many multitudes and like a sound of many waters and like a sound of mighty thunders saying ?Praise Yah! For Prince Yahweh the Almighty reigns! 7 We should be glad and rejoice and give honor to Him, because the wedding-feast of the Lamb has come, and His wife has prepared herself! 8 And it is given to her that she is wrapped in clean bright linen. For the linen is the vindications of the saints!? 9 And he says to me: ?Write! Blessed are those invited to the dinner of the wedding-feast of the Lamb!? And he says to me: ?These are true words from Yahweh!? 10 And I fell before his feet to worship him. And he says to me: ?No, look! I am your fellow-servant and of your brethren who have the testimony of Yahshua! Worship Yahweh! For the testimony of Yahshua is the spirit of interpreting prophecy.?

11 And I saw the heaven having been opened, and behold! A white horse, and He sitting upon it Faithful and True, and He judges in righteousness and makes war. 12 Now His eyes are as flames of fire, and upon His head are many diadems, having a name inscribed which no one knows except Him, 13 and He is cloaked with a garment dipped in blood, and His Name is called the Word of Yahweh. 14 And the armies in heaven follow Him upon white horses, clothed with clean white linen. 15 And a sharp sword comes out from of His mouth, in order that with it He may smite the Nations, and He shall shepherd them with an iron staff, and He shall trample the vat of the wine of the wrath of the anger of Yahweh Almighty, 16 and He has upon His garment and upon His thigh a name written: ?King of Kings and Sovereign of Sovereigns?.

17 And I saw one messenger standing on the sun, and he cried out with a great voice saying to all of the birds flying in mid-air: ?Come! Gather to the great dinner of Yahweh, 18 in order that you may eat the flesh of the kings and the flesh of the commanders and the flesh of the mighty and the flesh of the horses and of those sitting upon them and the flesh of all both free and slaves and small and great!?

19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered to make war with Him sitting upon the horse and with His army. 20 And He seized the beast, and with him the false prophet who had been making signs before him, by which he deceived those having received the inscribed mark of the beast and who worshipped his image. These two are cast alive into the lake of fire, burning with sulfur. 21 And those remaining were slain by the sword of Him sitting upon the horse, which came from out of His mouth, and all the birds ate their fill from their flesh.

XX 1 And I saw a messenger descending from out of heaven having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he held fast the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the False Accuser and the Adversary, and he bound him for a thousand years 3 and cast him into the bottomless pit, and barred and set a seal upon it, that he may no longer deceive the Nations, until the thousand years should be completed. After these it is necessary for him to be released for a short time.

4 And I saw thrones, and they who sat upon them, and judgment had been given to them, and the souls of those having been beheaded on account of the testimony of Yahshua and on account of the Word of Yahweh and who did not worship the beast nor his image and did not receive the inscribed mark upon their foreheads and upon their hands. And they lived and ruled with Christ for a thousand years.

5 This is the first restoration. 6 Blessed and holy is he having a part in the first restoration. Over these the second death does not have authority, but they shall be priests of Yahweh and of Christ and they shall rule with Him for the thousand years.

7 And when the thousand years are completed, the Adversary shall be released from his prison 8 and shall go out to deceive the Nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them to battle, of which the number of them is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they had gone up upon the breadth of the earth and encircled the encampment of the saints and the beloved city, and fire descended from out of heaven and devoured them. 10 And the False Accuser who deceived them is cast into the lake of fire and sulfur where are also the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night for the eternal ages.

11 And I saw a great white throne and He sitting upon it, from whose presence the earth and the heaven had fled, and a place is not found for them. 12 And I saw the dead: the great ones and the small ones, standing before the throne. And books had been opened, and another book was opened, which is that of life, and the dead were judged from out of the things written in the books according to their works. 13 And the sea had given over those dead who were in it, and Death and Hades had given over those who were in them, and each are judged according to their works. 14 And Death and Hades are cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death: the lake of fire. 15 And if one is not found written in the book of life, he is cast into the lake of fire.

XXI 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth departed, and the sea is no longer. 2 And I saw a new holy city Jerusalem descending from out of heaven from Yahweh, having been prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice from out of the throne, saying: ?Behold! The tabernacle of Yahweh is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Yahweh Himself shall be with them, 4 and He shall wipe every tear from their eyes, and death shall not be hereafter, nor grief, nor crying, nor toil, it shall be no longer: the former things have departed!?

5 And He sitting upon the throne said: ?Behold! I shall make all new things!? And He says: ?Write! Because these words are trustworthy and true!? 6 And He said to me: ?They are made! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end! To he who thirsts I shall give freely from out of the fountain of the water of life. 7 He who prevails shall inherit these things and I shall be a God for him and he shall be a son for Me. 8 But for the cowards and the faithless and abominable and murderers and fornicators and drug-makers and idolaters and all those who lie, their fate is burning in the lake in fire and sulfur, which is the second death!?

9 And one from among the seven messengers having the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying: ?Come! I shall show to you the bride, the wife of the Lamb!? 10 And he took me away in the Spirit up to a mountain great and high, and showed to me the holy city Jerusalem descending from out of heaven from Yahweh, 11 having the effulgence of Yahweh, her radiance like precious stone as jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 having a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and above the gates twelve messengers, and names inscribed which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel: 13 from the east three gates, and from the north three gates, and from the south three gates, and from the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city has twelve foundations, and upon them the twelve names of the twelve ambassadors of the Lamb.

15 And he speaking with me had a golden measuring-rod, that he may measure the city and her gates and her wall. 16 And the city lies foursquare and her length as great as the breadth. And he measured the city with the rod for twelve thousand stades, her length and the breadth and the height are the same. 17 And he measured her wall, a hundred forty-four cubits measure of a man, which is of a messenger. 18 And the structure of her wall was jasper, and the city pure gold like pure glass. 19 And the foundations of the walls of the city all adorned with precious stone: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh olivine, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh hyacinth, the twelfth amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates twelve pearls, each one of the gates was from of one pearl. And the streets of the city pure gold, as transparent glass.

22 And I saw no temple in her, for Prince Yahweh Almighty is her temple, and the Lamb. 23 And the city has not need of the sun nor of the moon that they would illuminate her, for the effulgence of Yahweh illuminates her, and her lamp is the Lamb. 24 And the Nations shall walk by her light, and the kings of the earth shall bring their honor into her, 25 and her gates shall not be closed by day (for there shall not be night there), 26 and they shall bring the honor and the dignity of the Nations into her. 27 And there may not enter into her anything common and which makes an abomination and a lie, except those written in the book of life of the Lamb.

XXII 1 And he showed to a river of water of life, bright as crystal, coming out from the throne of Yahweh and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of her street and with the river on the one side and the other is the tree of life producing twelve fruits, yielding each of its fruits by month, and the leaves of the tree are for the service of the Nations. 3 And there shall no longer be any curse. And the throne of Yahweh and of the Lamb shall be in her, and His servants shall serve Him 4 and shall see His face, and His Name is upon their foreheads. 5 And there shall no longer be night, and they have not need for light of a lamp and for light of a sun, because Prince Yahweh shall shine upon them, and they shall rule for the eternal ages.

6 And he said to me: ?These words are trustworthy and true, and Yahweh God of the spirits of the prophets has sent His messenger to show His servants the things which are necessary to happen shortly. 7 And ?Behold! I come quickly! Blessed is he keeping the words of the prophecy of this book!??

8 And it is I, Iohannes, hearing and seeing these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell to worship before the feet of the messenger who shows these things to me. 9 And he says to me: ?No, look! I am your fellow-servant and of your brethren the prophets and of those keeping the words of this book! Worship Yahweh!?

10 And he says to me: ?Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near! 11 He who is unjust must yet be unjust, and he who is filthy must yet be filthy, and he who is righteous must yet practice righteousness, and he who is holy must yet be holy.

?12 ?Behold! I come quickly! And My reward is with Me to render to each as is his work! 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

??14 Blessed are they washing their garments, that it shall be their license to the tree of life and they may enter into the gates into the city. 15 Outside are dogs and druggists and fornicators and murderers and idolaters and any who love and make a lie.

??16 I Yahshua have sent My messenger to attest these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David; the bright morning star!

?17 And the Spirit and the bride say ?Come!? And he hearing must say ?Come!? And he who thirsts must come, he desiring must receive the water of life freely!

?18 I testify to each who hear the words of the prophecy of this book: if one should add to these things, upon him Yahweh shall add the plagues written in this book, 19 and if one should take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Yahweh shall take away his share of the things written in this book from the tree of life and from the holy city.

?20 He testifying of these things says ?Yeah, I come quickly!? Truly! Come, Prince Yahshua!?

21 The favor of Prince Yahshua is with the saints, truly!
